pretty sure just the plastic will work. Cause it says you have to input the credit card number at the setup.

Credit Card only. But the security on it is 100% safe. Trust me man. Tell your dad it isn't dangerous

Yeah...if you can't trust a 14-year-old TCP/IP, encryption, and security expert, who can you trust?

I found this information that might help you:

Question: So, how can you buy something on the internet and NOT reveal your credit card number?

Answer: Use American Express Private Payments.

This card is incredible! Online Fraud protection, Smart Chip (read the description on the right)...and no annual fee! This is a free online service for card members that provides you a one-time temporary credit card number used only once for each purchase. Online merchants accept this number identically to your actual credit card number. This allows you to hide your actual card number. Each time you make a purchase, you request a new temporary number! Additionally, you can inspect your online credit charges anytime!

Your Dad's bank may offer a similar plan for his credit card of choice.

The thing I don't like about debit cards is that fraud takes real money out of your checking account. If your checks start bouncing you are still responsible for the NFS fees. A credit card offers you more protection.

yup, hopefully they will have those issues fixed when the retail live comes out. Although, i wouldn't want to use my debit card, i would wind up spending my money to fast and not realize it.
