everything everybody has said about xbox seems to make it sound excellent. thank you all. i now am certain i made the right decision with xbox. im still confused about the cd ripping thing. make it easy people...can you put songs from a cd-r on the hard drive and listen to them while playing yo games?? thanks

I'll answer.....everyone else is probably glued to their Xbox...

You can get any music CD and rip it onto the Hard Drive.....
And then you can chose to play this music while playing your fav game...

Example:
You are playing Project Gotham and don't like the music....
Turn off the Xbox
Rip your fav CD onto the Hard Drive...
Play Project Gotham and with a few settings changed you can listen the music you ripped as it temporarily replaces the in game music....

As far as I have been able to figure out, i dont think you can rip CD-R's onto the hard drive. At least, all of my CD-R's wouldnt work, so I assume that the xbox can't read them.

i have heard fuji film cd-r's work... i wouldn't know thoe, i have used memorex ever since getting my cd burner.
