If you can't afford the new Windows XP Media Center edition, why not grab yourself a modded XBOX, and check out the XBOX Media Player 2.0. The official site has some screen shots and previews. I am sure Gates will be real upset about this one. Somehow $300 for an x-box setup is cheaper than the $2000 XP boxes.

Very cool. Too bad MS wont sell it. I understand you need certain hardware to run it but leave that up to those who want it to install that hardware (I pretty much have it all now anyway)

Well, if it is modded, we can get screwed. XBOX Live stops all modding and you can't get on than. So, unless this is different; Than it isn't good.

You might be lucky. It has been reported (From people here with links), it stops it.

I personally hope they do block all with a modded box.
Less chance of someone messing up the network and cheating that way.

Although looking at those screenshots I might end up getting a second box and mod it just to use for that. :)
