Ok, I'm getting a cable modem along with the xbox live starter kit (which includes 1 full year free subscription) sometime here soon, and I need a little advice before hand so I'm ready! Once I get the cable modem (which someone should come out and install It.. right?) hooked up, the xbox live starter kit, and my account.. I was told all else I'll need would be some kind of cable. Maybe an ethernet cable going from my xbox to the back of my computer. Well, I was wondering if it could be a normal phone chord? Also, where would the cable go.. where the phone line is?
Now with the Set-Up... My xbox and the computer I'll be getting the cable modem for are in seperate rooms. How would I go about hooking them up? The rooms are right next to each other.. but I can't bring the xbox to the computer or the computer to the xbox. Can I buy an extra long cable to go around the corner and hook up to my computer? Or will I have to buy like 3 cables with two adapters?
One more thing... with the cable modem, the xbox live starter kit, and my xbox.. am I gaurunteed I'll be playing xbox "live" or is there some sort of maybe like.. only if the area supports it or if it's even up in your area yet?
