New member, need help with dead or alive 3 problem

Already posted this in the fighting games forum, but I'm guessing the traffic here eclipses that one. Just bought my xbox yesterday, and either the game(dead or alive 3) has massive slowdown, or some goofy slow cinematic gameplay. The action will slow to a crawl, and speed up back and forth. I need to know if this has happened with anyone else, or if I have a defective game or system, and I need to return something. Halo doesn't seem to have the same problem, so I'm guessing I might have a defective copy. Thanks in advance

I havnt had any trouble with mine. I would return it to the store and try a new copy if it does it again call the help line cause than it might be the box
