Unfortunately, I am one of those unlucky *******s that can't get XBOX LIVE. I am considering it, but if you can help me find a solution to my problem, then I will buy it!

PROBLEM:
My broadband service is upstairs, and my TV is downstairs. It may seem like a common problem, but there are certain solutions I can't take.

IMPOSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:
- Move computer downstairs
- Buy a router and have ethernet cables running through the floor
- Get wiring through the walls
- Spend more than $60

well, i hate to say this, the best way is to buy a router and 50 ft of cat cable and drill a small hole through the floor. it wont hurt. xbl is worth it that much to drill holes in floors, routers and all taht shiat.

50ft cables r really cheap with good quality at www.cable.cc

i bought my 100ft there for 9 bucks!! (total was 14$ with shipping and handling)

and i got a good router for 40$ at best buy.

all together, the whole thing cost 54+$, just under 60$

hope that helps

60 dollars is kind of a short budget dude, from the looks of it, your only solution would be to go wireless, which will end up costing you more then 60 bucks. so i guess i'm no help to ya.
good luck with that.
