any advice for the GR novice?

Just bought it today and played the first 2 missions at easy level (by myself w/o XBox Live). Here's my question: will playing GR solo (therefore getting an info about the levels) make the game less compelling when playing via Xbox Live or does it matter?

well, for some advice, never stay completely "standing up." stay in your crouching or laying down stance. another, try to avoid keeping your weapons set to automatic. leave them on single fire.

as for single player, i am also a GR solo player. as with anything, specifically PC games, playing online is a different experience. Don't get me wrong, GR is a GREAT sinle player game. sure, XBL will enhance your gaming. dont worry about it man. just sit back, relax, and kill.

You also want to do the missions so you can unlock weapons to use on Live. Get to know the weapons and the levels because these will help you on live.

This may sound silly but READ THE BOOK! I played w/ a guy last night that after most everybody was gone said " I have been playing this game online for two weeks now and still dont know how to change weapons" I said little gems like that are in the book man. :rolleyes: So it pays to read some times. Er, all the time.
