NFL2k3 Help Needed

I am having troubles playing online. I have the PS2 version not the Xbox version (dont kill me, it was $20), but Ive heard Xbox users have had this problem as well, so im hoping they will also have the solution.

When I try to challange a user, I get the error cannot connect to remote host. When I am challanged I get to the loading screen after picking teams, then the game is terminated and it tell me there was a dicrepiancy in play or something like that.

I have 56k and no firewall so I know thats not the problem. I also dont think its my modem or conection since i have 2 other games that play online fine.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, did you come up with a solution? All help would be greatly appriciated.

I know that people where getting divergence errors during beta testing of Xbox Live. The ad-hoc solution that was posted on the net was to lower your Xbox sound from outputting 5.1 to stereo, or even mono. Crappy solution, but it seemed to work. Thats the only thing I can think of...

That doesnt help me since im on PS2, but thanks none the less. Anyone else got a solution?

I rented the game last night and it does it to me everytime I go into a game. It sucks very bad. I will try the mono thing.

lol no kiddin. isnt it brutal playing online with dialup? and does ps2 online even have voice for games other than socom?
