anyone use the default controls? i hate them, pushing in the stick to use jump jets. the left trigger is wasted by weapon selection.
i use "Wacky". anyone else find the default setting to be difficult?

*Playya, I found this "clan" and they play MA everyday. This b*tches are so good. I was playing against them in a 15 minutes game, and I had 5 kills 30 deaths. And I was the best one on my team. We gotta setup a time, and challenges these sob's.

you are talking about Tboa right? if so when i was playing with you he was the only one in this so called "clan"

what do you mean? he said he has this "clan" that plays Mechassault every night?
I mean if this is just a bunch of bull, then why not make the games fair where they don't end 17-58, but 42-43?

I don't quite understand the point you're trying to make there borka. However Tboa is a great guy and I play with him almost every day. He's an excellent player and a nice guy. His clan plays in-clan games a lot. Sure he plays with his fellow clan members but don't you play with your friends? As far as uneven games I do what I can to make even games but I want to play with my friends. Today myself and ColdBloodKiller and some other guy (public slot) played 3v5 games just to make it even...but that didn't work very well.

what do you mean what point I'm trying to make? I am not trying to make any point at all.
I will with playaa a lot, so I was just telling him that we should play with TBOA cause he is really good.
that's all

as far as i know the games we were playing the other night did not involve his other clan members. Tboa's team was made up of people he plays with on a regular basis, i definitely have no problem not being on his team (as i am not apart of his "clan")

ok, because he made it seem like you and some other people were part of his clan, and that's why he didn't want to shuffle the teams and make them fair.
btw, who was that guy who "hated" me yesterday online? He was talk so much smack for no reason, cause he sucked ****.
-borka105
Borka,
Aircobra and ThatRoger are players on my friends list that I play with regularly, although many times I have played with them against me instead of on my team (just ask them). But, if I am in a room with 4 people that are on my friends + 4 players I don't really know, of course I am going to put my friends on my team. Don't you want to play on the same team as the people you are "friends" with?
As far as our "clan", there are many players you have seen from there too, including Darhoth, Polite Ninja, TheMatrix, IronD Will and others. And ColdBloodedKiller plans to be a member, we just haven't set it up yet. I also often play with my wife on my team. And as a clan, none of us are necessarily the greatest players on live, we just work together to achieve our goal. Aircobra and thatroger are both better individual players than I am, yet in team games if they are against me and we work together our team can sometimes beat them too.
In the games you played with us, at first I didn't know you so of course you were on the other team. But afterwards, we shuffled the teams several times including putting you on "our" team a few times. I am not sure what team lineup would be acceptable to you. I am sorry, I am just not going to put all my friends against me while I am teamed with 3 people I don't know or have a clue as to how they play.... call me crazy.
I welcome you to join or invite your friends in the games we play. But if I have already been online and playing games with a group of guys, I am likely to keep sticking with them on my team. This is how we practice and get better as a team. If you think that is unfair, I am sorry, but you may be better not joining so you can enjoy a game you feel is more fair. This is not meant to sound sarcastic or in a mean tone, just an honest opinion.
But, a lot of times the team I am on will play with less players to make things "fair". Sometimes, when we do, we will get beat as the other players we are versing are good too. Sometimes, we will still win when we play 4 on 2... it just depends. I am all for having competitive games and always enjoy those more than blowouts where the other team quits. But what I enjoy even more is having teammates I know can cover my back and that we are all on the same page.

im not, but i don't remember exactly who else was in the rooms, so they may have been apart of his clan. like i said i don't mind playing against him.
that was my friend, he was hating on everyone. he doesn't mean anything by it, he's just trying to lighten the game up alittle.

yeah, aircobra and thatroger are also on my buddy list, and i've played w/ them several times before. I like joining your games because I finally have some competition. Playing in opti-match, I would be getting 15-2...... and imo, there is no fun in playing the game for "stats" alone. So when you beat whoever else was on my team 58-12, friends or no friends, I would think you would switch the teams around (esp. people no in your clan), so that the games are more competitive (fun).
I'm sorry, but I just don't see the HEARTACHE in switching one of your clan members or "buddy list friends" around so that the games are more fun.
I read your website, and you wrote that the whole point of your clan, was to make friends and have fun.
I dunno, it seems like stats come before having fun.
*sure, I'll join your games because they are more competitive, but until "fair" teams are made, you won't experience the fun that can be had in Mechassault.
KEYWORD BEING "FUN"
-borka105
No, padding stats is when someone buys a second account and continually kills the mech on one account. Or when someone never plays against that odds. The last game I played was this afternoon, for instance was me, CybotheBassist (he is like 13), his 4 year old sister!, and another random player vs. guys from my clan + friends list... (TheMatrix, ColdBloodedKiller, InuJason). So I don't know how you think I am in it for just the "stats".
You can ask most who have played on my team or against me, if the other team is undermanned, we always ask if they would like to rehost or drop. If we are beating them bad, most of the time we will back off their spawn and give them a chance to get out. I have taken many "new" players on my team and let them play many games with us, and watched them become really good players.
Yes, the purpose of the clan is to have fun and make online friends. But it is also to get better as a "clan" and the only way to do this is to practice as a team. We are not the best... there are others out there that have and can beat us, so we always try to practice so you can get better. I am sorry if that doesn't make you happy but there is really nothing I can do differently than I do - that is to try to play as best I can each game and get better at the game. Even when we win, we don't trash talk our opponents and we don't put them down.

I'd just like to put in my 2 cents here. Before I started playing MechAssault, I didn't know anyone on XBL. I joined Tboa and his clanmates because they were fair, mature, and had a lot of fun playing. They are also damn good players as well.
If things get unfair, we will switch off players and try to make it even teams. I've played many times against Tboa and other clanmates, or Tboa will switch to the losing team to try and balance things out.
We also play consistently with and against excellent players such as Aircobra, ThatRoger, InuJason and ColdBloodedKiller, just to name a few. If you don't believe them that Tboa is one of the best all-around players (and I'm not talking about just stats, I mean he's a great person to play with or against), then ask around and talk to others who have played with T on a consistent basis. Hopefully you'll change your mind.

Why are you jumping on my back?
my first post in this thread was inviting Playya to play with me against TBOA and his friends because of what a challenge they were.
Yes, I did mention how unfair the games I played against him were, and I don't see where I said something wrong when I said this. If you think that games that end with the other team beating you by a margin of 5 to 1 is fair, then you have something wrong with you.
With that being said, I want nothing more than to have playya and some other friends that I have on my buddy list to come and join me so that we can have some fun games.
that's all I was trying to say.
I don't need any of this bull of how fair he is and how honest he is and how................... All I want is to play competitve games where both parties enjoy the games they partake in.
Because, I feel that 1 on 1 I can beat most of the members in his clan. But when I am paired up with people I don't know or have never met, it's kinda hard to work something out. So I'm just trying to get other people that I play with to join me, and make these games interesting.
Because simply put these are the first games since day one that have been challenging

Borka105,
The games we played last night when playaa joined again weren't fair since two times someone from the game was dropped. Playaa is pretty good in that mad dog though :D
I have a suggestion though if you want a competitive "fair" game. Get your 4 best players (including yourself) and I will get 4 players and we can set a match maybe for later this week. We can play 2 games, each team hosting 1 game and choosing the map. We add the total scores to determine the overall winner. We make sure both games are 4 on 4, so if someone drops we just rehost.
What do you think? Let me know in advance so I can let my guys know too. We can shoot for Thurs or Friday evening, say 9:30 pm Central time.

Match occured last night. BoG had to let one of our team sit out for each of the the games because one of Borka's team couldn't make the match.
Final score:
BoG:62
Borka105 team: 48
(2 match total)
The first game BoG hosted in Colloseum and we had the exact same lineup for each team... 1 Ragnarok, 1 Catapult, and 1 Belial. BoG pulled ahead in this one and came out on top 34 to 21.
The second game Borka105 hosted on Frosty, and BoG interchanged players that they had sitting out. The lineup changed slightly, with myself switching off to a Thor. It was a very competitive match, and the leader switched many times during the game. BoG pulled it off in the end, winning by a the close margin of 28 to 27.
Good games Borka105 and crew.

The Rag isn't that great really...it all depends on how you pilot. As far as Tboa goes...he's good. He beat me in a one on one with a Thor....(my main mech)
Well, I was sort of lucky then Roger :)
Yeah, Borka105, it was a good game and as you stated earlier, it is fun to have good competition.
