Bad News About Ghost Recon Patch : Breaking News!!!!

Some not so good news about the Ghost Recon Patch was posted over at the Ubisoft console forums today by BrentW of Ubisoft Tech Support.

"I have news that I am sure will make me the least popular person o_n these boards. The update was kicked back to us from Microsoft. They request a minor change that has already been implemented o_n our end. The downside is that the update now needs to go through our testing again and then through Microsoft again. We hope to be able to resubmit to Microsoft by the end of the week so there is still a chance that the update may hit by the end of the month, but it may slip into early February."

I read where someone on there said that Brent W. was not really with UBI and that if you will call the tech ppl and ask they will tell you they do not know him. I dont know however but I do hope that he is not right.:(

Well this is really not that bad. If there was something wrong with the patch, I don't want it yet. Let's let them get this right. We're all rushing them to get this thing out, which is no doubt why they screwed something up.

I think it just seems dam odd that with all the patches that Ubi has done in the past that were successful with the PC games, why would this get turned back....maybe cuz MS doesn't want them to help? :confused: This is one of the main reasons why EA won't use XBL yet, cuz they have to do everything through MS....not sure if that's a good thing or not.

I didn't know one was going to come out this soon anyways. How will we be getting this patch if there is not downloadable content?

Automatic update. when you load up the game, it will tell you that an update/patch is necessary to play. If you have played fever online (i believe) the same thing happened the first time.

They may just do it how they had the beta update run for NFL 2k3. Make it a mandatory update so that you couldn't play the game unless you actually downloaded the content. If so, then you know it would be a free patch.

ahem, well i just hope i can be patient and wait for the patch to come. i think my ping is over 100 and i heard the limit was 200 per game. in the patch, it has over 600ping, which would make it easier to find games :)

I'm betting there wasn't really anything wrong with it. Microsoft just wanted something changed around.

Nice so it will be tomorrow then? I liked the part where he said " Do to a shortage of time the patch will only contain what is needed for the first wave of fixes" I bet that means even more stuff to come.:eek:
