XBL Analogized

I live with 3 other people and they are constantly wondering why I spend so much time playing XBL in my room. First, let me explain that I live with 2 chicks and a guys who is probably more feminine than they are. Don't get wrong they are all cool kids and we get along great but I don't want to watch reruns of the Golden Girls or Lifetime TV movies.
Back to topic at hand. I explained to them that XBL is like having a bunch of little kids that I keep in my bedroom all the time. They don't say much or do anything until I turn them on. And then, they are the best friends in the world because they will play whatever game you want to, for as long as you want to and better yet they all know how to play the same games you do. So my question is "WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO PLAY VIDEO GAMES ALL DAY WITH A BUNCH OF BUDDIES?

ME!! I like playing video gamez, but i can't stand stayin inside all day. I need to be outside 4 at least 5 hourz doin somethin, thatz why u only see me online at night when I have nothin better 2 do:D

with the execptions of a few...make that several programs...i'd deffinately much rather sit infront of the tube interacting with people and AI then mindless television.

Hey, I think that's great. I love stayig home and playing videogames and posting here all say. I try doing it 24/7.;) I agree that it's more fun staying at home then going out with friends or getting drunk at parties.

Who needs a girl when you have an Xbox, Xbox Live and Broadband Internet Connection. I'd could never live if I didn't have any of those things.;)

And you still have some kind of control over life's issues, like when kid's get on your nerves...you just kick them out of the game, no fist a cuffs or nothing, except for maybe a little bad feedback ;)

Yes ... having a girl is important also. But when you have a girl who doesn't care how much time you spend playing video games, then you have something special.

I just can't live without my Xbox or my Broadband internet connection. When my Xbox was away getting repaired, I kept having a nervous breakdown because I missed it so much. I know that I said this in another thread but this is why I don't have Xbox Live at the moment:

-My Xbox gives me trouble despite repairing it.
-My Dad hasn't purchased a new router yet because mine only has two ports.
-Who knows whether the wireless ethernet cable my Dad is going to buy is going to work correctly to my Xbox.
-I don't have a credit card.
-I don't have a job.
-I don't have a lot of time.
-I don't always play my videogame systems.
-I'm worried about the monthly payents when my 1 yr. is up.
-No anime, RPG's, Puzzle, Fighting, Full version racing games yet.
-I'm not very excited about it because I never seen anyone play Xbox Live. I'm not psyched.
-Not sure how my Verizon DSL is going to work with it.
-I can be either too quiet or too talkative.
-I have trouble getting along with others sometimes.
-The current games, I'm not skilled at them right now.
-I have trouble installing things.
-My parents would probably never let me have it.
-None of my local friends have Broadband or Xbox.
-I may be going away to college next semester.
-Worried about breaking headset.
-I still have several Offline games to purchase
-I have zero Online Xbox games at the moment.

u really have too many worthless problems that don't need ur immediate attention. U really have to get outside and socialize 4 awhile cuz if not, college life is gonna suck. I understand that u like videogames, but come on.

My college life is okay right now although I never socialize. I don't have any friends at my college, I don't really care either about it. I just like videogames too much. My whole entire life revolves around them.;)

go out to your local bar, get drunk, hook up with some girl, take her home, have fun!

just for one day, so you know what you're missing, and then you dont ever have to do it again. :)

You're right that I really don't know what I'm missing by staying home and playing videogames. However, when I get Live, I'll be on 24/7.;)

if youre over 18, you can do whatever you want. your parents dont control you anymore if youre older than 18. so you can get it, and they cant do anything about it. except they can throw you out of the house. lol

JEEZ DON'T BE SO WORRIED,

AND AS FOR YOUR ROUTER GO TO XBOX.COM TO SEE WHICH ONE WORK AND WHICH DON'T. AND GET OUT OF THE HOUSE WORK OUT SOME THING. I PLY MY XBOX 3 HOOUR ON THE WEEKEND AT MOST DURING THE WEEK NONE. JEEZ MAN you are a couch patato.
