MKDA Platinum Coins?

Hey,
I was wondering how do you get enough platinum coins to unlock cyrax? Can u win platinum coins? I can not find enough in the krypt and I do not know any way else to get them,
Please Help anyways possible.

beat challenges (the breaking boards or following the ball) in the arcade mode or whatever it is.... im pretty sure thats how you get them but i cant remember for sure..... but the more challenges you beat in a row the higher the number of coins you can win goes
