Sorry, just had to make this thread...in response to ChessBoxer's challenge (http://www.xboxaddict.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31613)

Well, one DD and Nik2Deep against Snoop E and Chessboxer anyway.

In just two matches of two on two, I think Chess Boxer was responsible for 4 kills the first map, and 3 kills the second. Snoop E kept them competing by almost going the distance with me on the first map (Day Docks). Nik got knocked out at the same time as chessboxer. In the end, Nik finished with 4 kills, Snoop finished with 5 kills, and I finished with 6 kills.

The second map (the creekbed), Snoop did a pretty good job of keeping us on our toes with 4 kills, but once he was blasted out of the water, it was downhill and sayanara for chess boxer who couldn't find nik or I. Nik finished the game with 2 kills, while I finished the game with the remaining 8 kills.

Well, damn, I guess the DD could probably stand a chance in that league after all!:o At least if we so desired to play in it.

Don't get me wrong guys, it was a good match, though if chessy is a sign of the guys we'd be facing, I think we're good where we are in that other ladder league.

dude, first off you are an arrogant **** if I may say so. I had 6 kills on the day docks. Did your memory suffer overnight? And yes, I will admit you guys did get us on the creekbed partly because I brought the wrong gun but thats ok. I will say though that you are quite the grenade chucker, leading me to believe that your skills with just a primary are sub par. I am not one to whine, I did say "good game" and didnt ***** about bringing the wrong weapon. Im quite surprised that you type a lot of "smack" but were pretty civil in the game big dog. I would like to challenge you big talker to a solo match 1v1 with no explosives so you cant use your newb cannon for luck. We will see if you can duplicate your "domination". I am not one to deny I had one bad match, but I am also not one to boast of my prowess after having one good match against someone Ive played once. Put your money where your mouth is big boy, I smell ya talking! I think the reason your saying you dont want to join the league is because there is a no explosive rule, and judging by your explosive laden play last night I feel you really wouldnt do too well anyway.

Actually, I made this thread for two reasons...one to get a response, and two because you essentially said that we weren't much without ever actually facing us. I did say it was a good game, and it indeed was. You were a lot more sneaky than I expected. If I got the numbers mixed up, sorry man, I thought my memory was fresh. As for my grenade throwing, the main reason I use them is to flush people out. In last night's case, it worked. I certainly don't need them though to win, and play many of my matches without them.

If you want a 1vs1 match, I have no problem with that. You are more than free to make a write up if I lose, and I have no doubt that is a possibility. But, just don't underestimate me. Also, I know everyone has their down days, so I have no doubt that last night may have been yours, which is why I won't underestimate you. I should be on again tomorrow night, so feel free to look me up and invite me to a little mano e mano. Also, I'm probably not even one of the better members of the DD to play against in GR, I'm just one of the more capable ones.

First off Patsy all I play on my server is No explosives for the most part (98% of the time) and RDX is always there hanging with the bes tof them. And I did not post anything but any games I have played with you, you did not do so hot can you recall? But everybody DOES have slumps so I let it go. I dont like your s4!t league for loosers but to each his own, it sounds like it has more holes than swiss cheese. Listen GR is a team game so byou taken RDX by himself is dumb it will make it so who ever moves is dead while the other guy camps to, or if both camp its a draw. Listen bring a team for this get some of your he-she's together for this. As far as putting our money where our mouth is, I am dirty poor lol so all I got and can spare is a 5$ EB games gift certificate but its in the mail if you take us in a game series. BTW explosives bont mean no skill, it takes just as much skill and hay you could have used them to. Man you cry like a baby, just get ready with a team then get back with us. And NO we will not play this by your ***erific league rules, there will be harder rules like only one life, NO OBSERVERS, reticle only, stuff like that. Three maps if needed best of three per map., LMS with you picking the first map, we get # 2 and the team with the least kills at the end of that picking the last map.

Yo...here's the deal honcho..you wanted us into some grade school clan league...but yet you have no clan? Get one...or some of your boys...and mount up. So, I guess as Casper said, if you seriously want to challenge us, come to our site, make the challenge with a team of your choice, and we will see what we can get scheduled. We can discuss the rules then too. But we are more than happy to play with no respawns, reticule only, and no explosives (since you claim that explosives is for noobs).;)

I have a "team" I run with that would mop the floor with you chest beaters! I dont have time to sit around all day and make custom sigs pumping up my clan. I have no shame in my game buddies, I addmitedly picked the wrong damn kit, WOW!!!!! I did not offer any excuses or whine about it when the game was done either. I only pointed it out after rudedog jumped off his couch and ran to his computer to announce to the world he had a couple kills on my ass. Him and the other dude beat us fair and square on the creekbed, but it would never happen again in a million years.

I will not go to your site to challenge you guys, I just do not think you bunch of chest beating, smack talkers are worth it. I will tell you my core group of guys to put on your friends list if you want to challenge us though, we play with no respawns, reticule only, no explosives(newb cannons), and a 15 min. time limit. If you want to let me know through this forum I will gladly tell the boys to get ready to put a beating on ya. I read a couple posts over on teamxbox after your match with the otl crew so I kind of get the jist of what you guys are about.;)

If you got a gist of what we were about, you got the wrong gist from TXB. Things have changed drastically since then, and we would be more than happy to show you. So, if you want your friends to put us on their list, go ahead. I would recommend setting up a time though, seeing as how not all of us are on at the same time, and it is difficult to get people together in one big group.

(gotta love how a little bit of animosity can make the start of a decent rivalry)...incase you hadn't figured out that part, another point of the post was that right there.;)

And I have gone through the trouble of coming back to XBA just because I think you are a punk, and couldn't hold my Jock Strap. No explosives.. lol.. what's the matter that Dial-Up connection you kids playing on lagging out or you just can't unlock any decent explosive kits? What did the OTL guys say? Other than good game and that the DDC won.

It doesnt matter....

We are 200% better than the team we were back than anyways. Sure we could see another 200% improvement, but we learn from our/my mistakes and were getting there.

You must admit, rivalries make for some good ass games, and i smell one brewing. So im down whenever. If we loose, we loose. I don't have any shame in losing, but I can guarantee we will put up one hell of a fight.

Yo rudedog I appreciate it that you put nothing but good stuff in there for me, chessboxer wasnt that bad he was just a good as me, if not better, like you said it might be his down day, like i had one of those couple days back- I played night docks for 10 matches on lastman standing, i only came out with 1 kill for those 10 matches.god damn i was ****ed and i had a m98 to. a well back to the topic you guys did murder us in creekbed(man i suck at that map) but at day docks(one of my better maps) it was a pretty even match. Good game:)

No doubt Fluff, they were good games all around for both sides, it was just that, I had something in mind when I accepted the challenge, and that was to do something like this. Rivalries can be very good things for both sides, even though both sides can end up hating each other...

As I stated, I want to get a little animosity going. I didn't necessarily expect my clan-mates to join up, but hey, that's their choice. So.. you are saying... that it's not worth it to go to our website? You're right, that 20 keystrokes has to be quite a strain on your day. LOL, sorry that you don't approve OP! I'm just (as stated in a previous post), trying to start a little rivalry with someone with a group that seems to suggest that they are the end all and be all of GR. In starting that rivalry, I think that it would make both teams better. Not really trying to say that we're better or their better.:D

Hey don't get me wrong I'm all for a rivalry or multiple rivalries . . . . Lord knows I have plenty and it does make for better gaming just cause you have the mind set that you don't want to lose to your 'rival'. When I play Halo on XbC there are always people I try to gun for cause we are rivals and there is nothing better then beating down the people you love to hate in the digital realm. . . . But bickering like school kids doesn't make a good rivalry, or make a better rivalry if you established one, it makes for ugly rivalries. You should respect your enemy's just as much as your teammates because once you stop giving your enemys respect, thats when your enemies will make you pay.

Alright, let me restate my position for all those who are getting twisted over this. I originally posted in here and told you guys about the league because I often read the forums in here, and being an avid GR player I knew from your guys' posts that you were pretty passionate about GR yourselves, so I figured out of initial respect for your GR enthusiasm you might be interested. Little did I know you guys would take it as me saying you guys are the worst clan ever! Dont be getting all your panties in a bunch over this, I have not or will not back down from a challenge and I will gladly take you guys on if you want to set it up from here. I initially was pleased with rudedogs play and civility in the game, until I read his posts on how he "slaughtered" us on 2 small boards with explosives with an average of 3-4 kills over and above us, and me being one not to whine I took it just fine and dandy. I see nothing wrong with a little rivalry and a little challenge here and there, but you guys take yourselves way too seriously initially calling the league Im in "grade school" and declining like your some sort of primadonnas. I tend to agree with oppium on the recess thing, its a little redundant after 19 posts of "you noob, you suck", "Ill kill you", and "bring it on". I am guilty of it as well, but you guys take the cake.

Well, if you take us and this game as serious as it sounds...then 1 - you need a reality check and 2 - you haven't been reading these boards too much, cuz we're probably the biggest chit slingers on here....and with all 12 of us in on it, no matter who it is...we'll team up and shoot you down, whether it's on here, or on Live.

But if you think that we're just gonna sit back and say "please Hammer, don't hurt us" well, then go play with Grendel and those boys....cuz after we did beat them, we haven't heard anything else from them, except for s challenge in MotoGP, which they know that 2 of our guys can actually play. Regardless of the case, you get a team, I got the server, and let's mount up and let the kills speak for themselves.

If you noticed, I didn't post after OPPIUMNITRATES because I wanted to see what the response would be. In regards to casper, I didn't see where he was putting you down. He was just being himself and cracking jokes. He even said in his first post that if you take us seriously, then you're taking it the wrong way. That should say it all. None of us take anything seriously if we can help it!:D

Regardless...ok, so we want to set up a challenge...I know we have a match tonight and tomorrow already scheduled. Most of the week next week seems to be clear. Just give us a time. Preferably in the evening hours since all of us work. 8:30/9:30 somewhere around there.;)
