UPSET WITH XBLive titles...

Or shall I say very un amused with the promised Lineup and what I have. Each day that passes I find myself straying away from the XBLive arena. Why?, you ask, because games like Unreal Championship got to old too fast because it IS TOO FAST, and there are too many cheaters, games like Ghost Recon are too slow with too many boring nerds on it. Moto GP is still pretty fun, whacked just stinks and mechassault is too repetitious. The only good games that I ever go back to are Moto GP and NFL Fever but even in Fever there are those who constantly use the center cheat and use those *** modeed teams and then have the nerve to talk **** through the communicator about how good they are. I just wanted some feedback as to what I can expect. Im holding faith in XBLive because I know HALO 2 is coming and it will either make or break the Live experience in my opinion but what happened to Counter Strike or Rainbow Six? Can MS ever fill us in on anything besides how EA is ****ting all over its customers with xbox's not giving us Medal of Honor Live or even Battlefield? Anyway like I said feel free to let me know something about what I can look forward to because im less than impressed with Live I feel as though I am regretting buying this until Halo2 arrives!

Sounds like someone is hard to please. ;)

Unreal Championship: Plays just like UT2k3 and is meant to be fast. It is a fast paced FPS, the way it was designed.

Ghost Recon: Is meant to be slow and a strategic. Not a run out to the middle and keep shooting. The boring nerds comment just makes you sound bitter.

We do need a game that is inbetween those two. Halo 2 should do that, and before that Return to Castle Wolfenstein and perhaps Counter Strike.

Whacked: Not everyone's type of game but perfect on Live. Most people just don't even give it a chance.

MechAssault: Agreed it is repetitive and the lobby bug destroyed the game for me. But with recent added mechs and maps and the new CTF mod coming it should expand that game even more. *Just fix the darn lobby*

As for the communicator and trash talk...mute them. Easy as a press of a button. Or find people you like playing with and add them to your friends list. I have played against tons of squealing babies on Live and haven't played any of them twice. I try to stick to friends or civilized groups of people.

Don't hold your breath for EA. They can go su...well nevermind what I think they can do. No MoH on Live, No BF1942 period. :mad:

So far Xbox has the largest list of Online capable games of any of console. It has the largest and most appealing list of things to come. Is it perfect right now? No. They have some work cut out for them but there are some very promising games coming which should turn your frowns upsidedown. :D

Naw im not bitter I just wish they could get something in between like you said. Also there are some nerds on XBLive and I also hate the complainers of voice masks I didnt pay $50 not to use it =) just thought I would throw that in there. As for UC I know it was meant to be fast paced but i just think for the sake of the nice graphics they might give us a way to slow it down so we could enjoy the enviornments and about Ghost Recon it's A very good game otherwise from the fact that alot of nerds do play it. ;) Well i said my peace. hope RTCW is good it was great on PC.

RTcw, Halo 2 and Doom III should be things to look forward to.

About that voice mask stuff, Im completly fine with it myself (Dont use it though) so long as it isnt:

A: Ear pearcingly loud.

B: Impossible to understand.

C: Some little swearing whore.

So long as that doesnt happen, Im fine with people with voice masks. :p

the problem is that its a 3 year old PC port that most people would rather play with a mouse and keyboard. If they include all the Condition Zero upgrades, beef up the graphics, and give us new maps, weapons, and/or skins, I'll buy it. If not I'll just play it on my computer.

Thats also what made me reluctant to buy ghost recon...its a year old pc port, and its disgustingly ugly. I still got it at the request of my friends, and its a great game, but the graphics are a real turn-off. I mean, graphics aren't everthing, but when you have problems such as not being able to climb over a pile or rubble as high as your knees that looks like a giant polygonal pile of crap, I'm allowed to get a little ****ed.

Halo 2 will own every live game throught the year 2004. its only competitors will be doom 3 and counter-strike, the most popular FPS games in the gaming history. (i think)

Just about every GR player i run into is actually mature and knows how to play.

You dont get screaming immature noobs like in moto GP.

Id say of all the hours logged into Public GR games ive run into 1 spamming noob. Thats a pretty good track record for a live game...

And its not slow paced, its more like a sim. When your carrying 70 pounds of gears do you jump off roof tops and run a 4 minute miles? Awww, you can only take 1 bullet, that sucks. Cause we all know in real life 1 bullet only takes off 8 health. :rolleyes:

try NFL 2k3 cuz fever suckz. IMO, 2k3 is the best game on XBL cuz #1 theres alwayz some1 playing, 2# everybody likes football, #3 itz the ideal game 4 XBL and so on............you can see where i'm going on with this. Try it out. GR is right up there on my list with 2k3. Great game. Also the ideal game 4 XBL.

I find it very funny that before Live went up, we had people complaining that MS was scheduling too many Live games being made. Now, we have just the opposite. Too many live games NOT being made. Let's face it, everyone has their taste and everyone will choose what they like. Coming on here and saying that you're not impressed about the current listing of available games is your choice, but you also have to realize that they are also trying to ensure the cheaters are no longer able to cheat and that everyone is happy with the options available in the future games.

Finally with the nerds comment on Ghost Recon...obviously you haven't played it much, or at least you're playing with people that most of us aren't. Most everyone I know that plays that game is half in the bag at the time we play it.

Yea I play Halo alot on XBConnect maybe you know me from there as [DA] or [MOB] SIV3L. Anyway look i didnt mean to offend any nerds on GR so drop that subject all I hope is that games like RTCW come without the atrocious framerates I see in UC. GR is a very good game i really dont have complaints other than respawn rapers i think it's a good game. I also enjoy Moto GP and Fever except for the whole center cheaters and modified team usage.

BTW? Does anyone know if Halo 2 will be 30 Frames per second or are they going with 60 for Halo 2? Halo was 30 I was just wondering.

I just want more games to play, I am actually going to rent GR again because I have played my fair share of my other two Live games for now, it will probably end up just sitting on the top of my tv for another week but I am willing to give it a second chance, maybe get my ass kicked by the DD or something.

Then why did you ever buy an xbox in the first place? MS preached quality over quantity from the get-go. Whether the system has lived up to the quality standard is debatable, but they said flat out they weren't going to mass produce tons of games for it from the beginning.

Sony isn't even in the same league as Xbox when it comes to online gaming. Their setup is a total trainwreck, not even mentioning the need for an additional part. Everquest on PS2 is nothing to get jazzed about...a magazine review stated that to play it right, you need to buy a keyboard just to communicate and a mouse to navigate easily. On top of that, you can't play with the PC players, only PS2 players because it's a different game. I don't think it's going to fly, rather crash hard and burn. Auto Modellista isn't worth worrying about either because Midnight Club 2 will be XBL. Don't know anything about Amplitude...and I won't EVEN bother with My Street :eek:

I personally think the line up will go up a lot the month before people have to start paying. That way they have some games people want to play online.
