Anyone know how to beat it? I usually die after it comes out of its crystal thing.

Well, if I remember correctly after it comes out of the crystal thing it will start diving up and down into the ether or whatever it is. Shoot it as much as possible when you can see it. After it makes it by you it will do that huge missle spread attack. Use the medium wing dragon to lock on to them before he actually shoots them. Once he fires, release your shots and it should take all of them out. Can't remember if you have time to get a shot on him in between. Soon he will go back to diving in and out of the screen... shoot when you can and avoid him as he flies by (don't forget about your dash and break buttons). I think there is yet another phase of fighting after this one, but it was definately easier than the stage I just explained.
