I don't like the Platinum DVD Cases

I do like the prices of the games, but I prefer the green DVD cases. Then again, I doesn't really matter what the color of the case is, but I just thought I would mention it.

Green (Neon) DVD cases = Kewl
Platinum (Silver) DVD Cases = Not as Kewl...lol!

As a collector I personally prefer da original cases myself, as you do too.
I pretty much own all da games on da Platinum List dat I wanted back in da dayz.
Though if there is a title I wanted dat I never bought and it was in a Platinum DVD case I would pass on it just cause it would make my collection look odd with it's color differentual.

This is just me though.:)

Peep dis out Shrewy. When the now defunct company "Bleem" were able to create booster disc's for Dreamcast to play certain PSOne titles they finally did MGS. So I was trying my hardest to find an original copy with da "black" case and had no success.
So I eventually just settled for da "Greatest Hits" GREEN jewel case.
Well I ran into my cousin and he has dis friend to owns da original case and did not want da game anymore.
So I tell him I just want his case and he was like "I want 20 beans for it". I said you must be smokin crack foo!!
So dude is a 2K fan right. So we make a bet, if I beat him in NBA2K2 (dis was back in 2001) I would get it for $2.00 and if he wins I would pay him what he wants.
Well I win and (Magic crushed his Bucks, he quit in da 3rd quarter :D ) I got his case. I threw his jewel case away and used da black MGS insert cover and put it in my new case for da "greatest hits version".
Dats how crazy I am! :)


note: I never owned a PSone, but I did my MGS for bleemcast, and Final Fantasy 7 & 8 in hopes they would make a booster disc for Sega Dreamcast as well.
Unforunatley Sony sued dem out of business. :(

I can't stand the green cases, I have bought some black DVD cases, and swapped with the green ones. So I have about 7 empty green cases. I personally like the Platinum cases, oh yeah the price too.

I am a collector too and I prefer the cases to be all green. The Platinum ones are okay, but not as good, somehow. But they are just cases.

Green = Xbox's flagship color.
Platinum = Platinum hits flagship color

There is a reason why they make things colored the way they do. I like the colors and wouldn't really care if they were any other color, as long as it made sense to make it a certain color.

They're just cases to me. Call me wierd, but, I just like playing the discs that come inside them.

I care about the cases to the same level as I care about the size of my XBox.

You mean DVD holder? Or were you referring to a holder that only holds the disc without the cases? Because the XBox cases are the size of DVD cases ;)

its not the case thats a different color. its the cover. you can just slip it out, and its the same exact case you always get. i think

You guys are lucky to have the prices you do. I'm sure some of those Platinum Hits games are still at $69.99 CDN. So the case wouldn't matter to me if I was lucky enough to get the games as cheap as they are in the States.

OK but I'll need a sponsor and a job. To drive down for a few games is expensive. I'm about 3 hours away from Grand Forks N.D. Complianing is much cheaper.;)
