Who is all going to E3 [Archive]

I would imagine that most of the staff from here is going, but I know not all of them are.

I'm trying to get everything worked out so I can be there to be one of the first to play Halo2, as well as beat up on the staffers here, mainly on Mec, he'll be getting a waffle where it hurts :D

Who else is going?

But I'm trying to get some of my friends to go, you guys might know them, but I'm going to keep that on then hush for now, as I don't want to jynx myself, just in case it doesn't fall through. But more than likely, we'll be going.

Basically you need money to live on for a week, a press pass and a means of getting to Los Angeles and the venue where it is being held.

I should know if I'm going or not by tomorrow. I'm getting a new job and I have one day that I can take off. I'm assuming that E3 is over the weekend...if so, I should be able to make it if I take a Friday or a Monday off for the sake of flying.

I have friends that live in L.A., and I will be able to bunk in...hell, I may even have a car to drive :D

Game Developers Conference - Not too much different then E3 but its don't have the hype of E3 becuause it's not known to show the new titles that people want a peek at. More of a place to network and meet people in the industry. Which is good for someone like me trying to get in to the industry.

Not any time soon but eventually I plan to be at E3, behind one of the booths.:cool: talkin' 'bout.

I'm going, i thought it was going to be thursday, friday and saturday....like last year?

Oh well, whats one more day of missing school............

i look forward to finally meeting the dirty dozen. And hey, who knows, if theres enough of us there, we can throw a halo lan party at the hotel!

I would love to play with you guys. The friends that im going with arent big fans of xbox, well, one is, but he doesnt like to meet people so it'll probably be just me. I'm saving up right now, so pzza and beer are on me:cool:

E3 is only open to the press! You need to have some type of realtions in the gaming industry or be invitied to go.. You must provide proof of all of this before attending.

You can be a Developer/fansite/reseller etc... :)

Still, he has connections with a videogame salesman at Frank & Son, so if he requests a pair of guest tickets then me and TheCovenant can go. If I can't make it then, I'll try to show up on the last day. Remember, if you see a dude around 5'10, with either a Marines or SPARTAN VI beanie on, get his attention... it's probably me. :D

Actually sparty, there are NO days that are open to the general public, but if you get your hands on an invitational pass, which i can provide for you at a minimal fee of $0.00, they will let you in, no questions asked. There are people that look way younger than me and you, and all three years i have never been carded, just stay discrete.....and oh, if you see angelina jolie there, make her kiss you on the cheek......she'll do it!

My dream would be to go to E3. I really want to go there but I probably won't go to California at that time. However, they may let me in if I dress like a videogame character. I plan to do that sometime.:)

Actually they will let you in if you have a pass, otherwise they will laugh at you for wasting your time to dress up like a video game character. Well, if they don't laugh I will make sure to wander back outside for a minute to laugh myself :D
