Today Comcast upgraded everyone to 256k uploads in my area (from 128k). I'm all excited thinking that Ghost Recon will be better. So I test the XBox and hit Y to see my speed and it still says 110k upload. Before I called Comcast I decided to check in with DSLReports and test it. Sure enough I'm up to 212k Upload according to them, where before I as at 83k with them.
So why is my XBox not jumping up to the proper upload? I've tried to reboot it, but no dice.

That's unusual. I've never seen a case like that. It could, perhaps, be a bug on XBConnect. Try it and try and host four XBoxes and see how that upload treats you. With that upload, you should be able to host three additional XBoxes with one or two players on each box. Or, two other XBoxes with more than two people on each box.

Maximus, thanks for your reply. I did just that Thursday night. I hosted 5 people with no lag at all. So I am seeing a big improvement. I'm thinking it may be a bug in the Connect software since my friend gets the exact same number consistantly. The thing I also thought of it that GR hosts peer to peer so Microsoft's servers aren't even involved. So it really doesn't matter the speed that I get to and from them.
Thanks
Steve
