Sup guys. This isn't for me personally, but a friend of mine who is looking to get an Xbox in a week or so and wants to be able to connect it to his college internet along with his normal PC.

The quesiton is this... if the school runs on a standard T3 line, he can go with a switch right? As in putting his PC in the first port and Xbox in the second port, allowing not only for the Xbox to connect, but to network between the PC and the Xbox for when he wants to play Halo on XBConnect for example.

This sounds like a silly question, but do most switches come with an uplink port where he can connect the switch to his wall, or will he have to plug the first port of the switch into his wall and have his PC and Xbox in ports 2 and 3 for a connection?

The main question is wondering if most switches have an incoming or uplink port on them. Let me know if you can help.

Im pretty sure every hub/switch/rotuer has a uplink port.
