I think the amount of death you have in the game should affect your position in the standings a lot more, because you can be in the top ten, and all you have to do is play the game a lot (ex. kills: 9045, deaths:7062). Someone who is really much better than you may not play it as much, and may not be in a higher position than you (this being stupid)
The best way I can think of to keep the standings is finding out how many more kills you have than deaths so someone whos really good and has about 4000 kills and only around 500 deaths would be in a higher place than someone with about 5000 kills and over 3000 deaths.

Yeah, they should have a seperate playing mode with strict ladder rules then a mode that is like how the game is now. The ladder mode should set you up with random players and people with the same experiance. It also should be a kill/death ratio like you said. And it should of never been a kill/death ratio, but a win/loss ratio. I guess they were thinking about the players that are not so good in the game instead of the good players which would think the ladder mode is boring.
A advanced ladder system was one of my dreams for MA, but it was crushed the day I got the game :(. I will just have to wait for part 2 if they are making it.

yeah, the ladders on mchassault blow. you HAVE to play pretty much 24/7 to have a high rank.

accually, i was ranked #9 and 10 for a good amount of time a couple of months ago, but one dude in like 1st or 2nd place was never signed off and he had only a couple thousand more kills than deaths.

I agree, plus if you don't play for a period of time you loose the ranking you had.
