I'm getting a very choppy frame rate when I play this. Is it the game or my box?

Maybe is the disc. Check the back on the disc, maybe there are several scratches.

Nope. Its brand new. Not a scratch on it. I'm gonna try it out on my buddies xbox.

i had problems when i walk into a door frame it would slow down a bit then i would move away from the frame and the game would go back to normal
I beat the game without noticing anything.. Crazy Taxi 3 on the other hand!..

I used to have Max Payne...but I was too busy trying to overcome the terrible gameplay to even notice a frame rate...

I wish I had a copy of the game to see what you mean by choppy frame rate :)

What terrible gameplay? The controls were pretty tight ,IMO. Helluva good game! No framerate problems here either.
