Has anyone noticed the refubished Xbox's freezing a bit more than they should? Do Xbox's tend to freeze in general? I'm new to this, thanks.

Yeah, older xbox's lasers aren't that great to start with, so people think they fixed them but they fall right out of wack again. I'd say take it back and pay the extra couple of bucks for a new system.

BTW, welcome to the forums :)

I never buy used. It's like a box of chocolates. You never know what your gonna get. Me and my brother were in a Babbages together one time and we both bought Dreamcasts. He bought used and I bought new(even though the store clerk said I could save $20.00). Needless to say, I still have mine over 2 years later and his died a month after he had it. Rule is.......

Don't buy used shizit!!!:)

Hmmmmm.........I have a launch XBOX that had a minor spurt of disc error problems, for about a week, now thats fine.

My second is a referb, and have had no problems with that one(about 5 months old).

Unfortunatly, I think it's luck of the draw.

My Xbox never freezes on me, but then again its not even a month old...hehe
But like others have said, I would never buy a used system.
1. I enjoy the new smell of electronic devices
2. Some people treat their stuff differently. You may end up with a used system that looks like a 5 yearold owned it.

Launch Xbox right here, it froze the second day I had it. Never again though, getting close to ~1 & 1/2 years old.

I've had my Xbox since august of 2002 and it has froze about 6 times (4 with UC & 2 with 007 nightfire).
