Midway clears up some confusion about its latest announcement.

A Midway representative has informed GameSpot that both NFL Blitz Pro and NHL Hitz Pro will support online play only for the PlayStation 2 this year. However, the representative went on to say that future versions of both games will be online for the Xbox and GameCube. NFL Blitz Pro and NHL Hitz Pro featured a number of improvements over their predecessors, including revamped AI, expanded modes, additional gameplay mechanics, and more.

For more information, check out our previous coverage of both games.

I hate how PS2 gets stuff before Xbox. All the companies just look at it and don't realize it's power.
