Go with me on this.

I was just watching CNN here at work. The headline news channel of CNN has a feature called "Big Game Hunting" and they talk about all the new games coming out. Well tonight, they where talking about E3 and what it means to the gaming world. Well, their guest was the chief editor of EGM. Some asian dude named "Shoe." Anyway, he goes on and on with the chick from CNN about Midtown Madness and PGR2. They never once mentioned any games for other consoles. The CNN reporter woman asks him will Halo2 be shown (She threw in that it was the most anticpated game for the xbox) . He said, from what he understands, and from his sources Bungie will be a no show with Halo2 at E3. He went on to say that Halo2 was still not ready for the public to see, and certainly not ready to be viewed at such a major event like E3. They talked about the delay, and they talked about if a company puts out a date for January next year, it really means they have no clue when the game is coming out.
Well boys and girls, don't shoot the messenger. This is exactly what I just saw on my break, watching CNN. I came straight to the computer to let you know. :watchout:

Bungie has already said Halo 2 will be at E3. In fact, they said it again two days ago:

"New Halo 2 information is coming... Next month's issue of OXM features an exclusive look at the game and what you can expect to see at this year's E3 show."

I remember last year when there were a number of reports that were totally thrown down the scrapper after E3 announcements. Many things came out about E3 the week to month prior to E3, but once E3 rolled around, half of those reports turned out to be untrue. So right now...I wouldn't believe half the stuff you read or see.:watchout:

I just ordered a couple of shirts from their store website, they are nt half bad, all my lanparty halo buddies will be jealous. The latest issue of xbox mag should shed a little light on halo 2.

It just boggles me that I saw this on CNN, and I hurried over to report it here. Not even day later, sources are indicating a different story. Is this some kind of indication of just how quick the industry changes? Who knows.

I don't think MS could afford to not show off their flagship game. They know how much money they will make this game and of course would show it at E3. Has MS released what games they will be showcasing though?

yeah the article was good but the pictures were pixalted sorta, that sux but o well, what did you think about the picture with the MC in a warthog with the city sky scrapers in the backround, its a big picture and the sky scrapers are dark. i was hoping that those skyscrapers weren't the finished thing or the real thing cuz they are different from the drawings of the city on the ?last page? of the article

CNN contradicts themselves and the truth all the time. What's new?

One thing I respect about Bungie is that they are adementally clear that it's important not to listen to anyone about any of their games unless it's reported by them and only them. Kind of the horse's mouth kinda deal e oh :D

my motto has been: "If its not straight from the developer or from IGN or gamespot, it should be taken with a grain of salt."

ever since ign got the scoop on the "cube" name a few years back, I had total faith in them.

Yeah, that and the fact that IGN does have a grip of ingame Halo2 vids. :D
