Counter Strike is going to seriously rock. And, dudes...those screenies don't look bad at all!! Honestly, it's really tough to get a real feeling of a game based on Screenshots. Seriously...if you don't believe me...try and find someone who has never seen Halo in their life...then show them some screenshots. Don't be bummed out when they say that the game looks "okay".

and you have to figure sometimes screen shots look worse than the real thing! i see it like this the screen shots are there to give you an idea of the finished product now in most cases the game will look much better. although there are cases where the screens look better than the game lol but i dont think this is the case i am up for trying it. looks kinda sweet:cheers:

lol, dude...I totally understand your point...and to answer your question, I think that screenshot looks like ass. :D

But, keep in mind, when a game is in motion, it really shows what the game is really like. I'm a huge fan of streaming video, yet, even that is a far cry from actually sitting down and playing a game. Screenshots are the ultimate worst to judge a game by.

Counterstrike is easily on par with Halo...you'll see :cheers:

:eek: That doesn't look like the CS I left behind 4 years ago... Looks like Gearbox took the liberty in adding the Condition Zero-like graphics, but it still looks like Half-Life... :p When did it hurt to spend a few more days on adding some more poly's or high[er] rez textures? Oh, and the weapon's fire particle effects suck ass, they're still using the old sprites from HL, yucko.:huh:

Since the first day i saw counter strike in 98',I always thought the game the game looked rather....bleh.

I see that they rez'd up the textures a little bit, or it could be the half-life engine running on the gforce3 in the xbox, either way it looks better, but still, it looks....bleh.


Yet i dedicated countless hours of online gaming and lan play with my buddy spartan. Why?

As shrew king so admirably declared, this is a game based on gameplay.

People ! People ! Please clam down. CS for xbox, like its PC counterpart run on the same old as dirt Half Life engine. Yes the graphics are alittle primitive but trust me the gameplay is going to go through the ROOF !!! I even think that its going to be bigger then RTCW. Take it from me an expiernced CS, HL, DOD, and TFC player this game will ROCK xbl to the fullest.

the screens do look really grainy, but i was looking screens from XBox RTCW and the guys fighting looked like the people in GTA, as in the first ever GTA, and theres no way they look that crappy especially on xbox. And i dont know how much more the controls will "Rock" on a console, but either way PC or Box, this game will be good. And have you noticed how many play Counter Strike still? And when did it come out and what year is it now?

To be perfectly honest, ever since i played CS for the PC @ a cyber Cafe, i have wanted it sooo much. I have never even had a half decent PC, and my parents wont let me upgrade theirs @ all. So when i heard about CS for Xbox, i was sooo happy. Honestly, i'm anticipating this game more than Halo 2...
