Monday April 28, 2003 | Prophet

Ubi Soft announced today that its Montreal Studio (Splinter Cell) will work its magic on a Batman game for the Xbox, GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance called Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu. The new game will feature the talents of Jim Lee, as the creator and character designer for Sin Tzu - a brand new character in the Batman universe (Lee is also the cat handling the art for the current monthly DC Comics Batman comic). The new game will attempt to be true to the Batman universe and will offer several familar heroes and villains including, Batman (duh), Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Bane (if you'll recall he broke Batman's back in the comic series), Clayface, Scarecrow and a new bad guy - Sin Tzu. The game will also offer two-player cooperative mode (the second player joins in as one of Batman's sidekicks), 35 Batman martial arts attacks, 12 levels (Gotham City Docks, Crime Alley, Arkham Asylum and more), and the ability to play as Batman or someone else in single player (Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing). Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu will have an ESRB rating of "E" for Everyone and will have a suggested retail price of $39.99. It is scheduled to ship this fall.

The screenshots actually don't look that bad...but umm, why don't they give up on Batman games for a few years, they have all blown dogs for quarters.

But aside from that, the game doesn't look so bad from the shots, it seems to follow the cartoon a lot (from the years and years ago I used to watch it).
