Electronic Arts today revealed Need for Speed Underground, the latest game in the popular action street racing series of games in the NFS family - coming to the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox and Game Boy Advance early next year. NFS Underground will offer licensed cars from the likes of Mitsubishi Motors, Subaru, Toyota and other top manufacturers. Players will also be able to buy real-world parts for their favorite ride from such companies as Audiobahn, Bilstein, Dazz Motorsport, DC Sports, Eibach, Enkei, GReddy Performance Products Inc., HKS, Holley, Injen, Jackson Racing, MOMO, Neuspeed, Nitrous Express Inc., O.Z. s.P.a., PIAA, Skunk2 Racing, Sparco, StreetGlow, and Turbonetics Inc.

But putting all that aside, the real focus of Underground is the speed, racing and thrill of underground illegal street racing. Players will get to take their favorite speed demons through a variety of night-time courses and events. Winning will gain players much needed cash to continue on their rise to stardom and reputation. Expect to hear more about Underground in the weeks and months ahead.
