Konami Cans Xbox Exclusive!

Despite "reaffirming its commitment to Xbox with the announcement of Apocalyptica" via a press release last month, Konami Europe has now canned the console version, we can exclusively reveal.

Apocalyptica, an action title set in Nu-Hell, was to be Konami Europe's first Xbox Live-enabled title, enabling "up to eight combatants to battle it out in a series of 'Death Match' scenarios, using Microsoft technology to also taunt their adversaries in the heat of battle." But work on the project, also heading to PC, has been mysteriously discontinued.

An Xbox version of the brilliant Dancing Stage is now set to be the company's first Xbox Live venture on the continent later this year.

Well that sucks! :cuss:

Wonder why they decided to stop it so late in production. Perhaps it will make a mysterious appearance later in the year.

Oh well, for all the xbox exclusives that have been announced, not getting this one is not that big of a deal to me.

Eh, its Konami, these are the guys behind Crimson Sea. Why would you want to play anything they make anyhow?

Thats KOEI, nitwit. :D Anyone who has been gaming since the days of the NES knows that Konami is responsible for some of the greatest game series' of all time. Contra, Gradius, Silent Hill, Metal Gear, and of course, Castlevania. :)

I agree with Van, there are really good titles back in the time of the NES and SNES. Also, TMNT are on the way to come out late this year. :p
