This game was released on the 23rd and mine's coming in the mail right now, but I can't find any info, review, hype about it. Did this slip under the radar or what?

I'm getting Brute Force too and I can see why it's getting all the attention. But I wonder if anybody has even heard of Yager.

I seem to remember Yager having alot of hype way back when... guess too much hype too early kills it.

Not a super fun game, but it was decent. I didn't make a huge impression on me, which is why I don't remember much of it :)

I guess that answers my question then. I'll be the 1st US resident to try it, cool.

i got it a few days ago, it's very good. i like free roaming shooters, so it's my cup of tea. the graphics are lush, the levels huge, good enemy AI. nice variety in missons so far, i'm on level 9 of 22. the main character gets on ya tits a bit with his silly talk, and the ships a bit slow, but i ain't really been bothered by it. you can replay levels to get stars, adds a bit of replay. one level took me nearly an hour to complete, well hard, but, for me, it's got that one more go factor. i feel it's a well ,made game , just what i bought the xbox for.

I thought it was going to be a flying game, which I'm dying for. Is it a flying game? If it is, where did you buy it???

Thanks.

With a name like Yager, I assume it is. Even though the description sounded more like an FPS.

I want to know what happened to Jane's (Attack Squadron? something like that?) I've never played a Jane's game, but have seen a lot of their books and was pretty interested in it.

It is a flying game. I cant say where I got it. I have unconventional sources. THey say it's only released in UK. THat's probably true cause you cant find it in the US. Mine has not arrived in the mail yet, but it has shipped. It's supposed to be NTSC for the USA.

I've played a demo in a shop once. It's a flying game. Yo uhave a number of missions. Your craft is a free floater, by which I mean, you can fly in any direction and also thrust up and down and effetivly hover.

It looks like you will have missios and stuff, the one I did was the training which started off with picking up something fomr a landing platfor and then going off to a shooting range to take pot shots at some targets.

I dunno why it was released here first, the only british tie I see is the lady talking to you was (like a controller or somink) was talking with an english accent. I can't remember the other voices....

it arrived in the mail (I live in the US) and I played it like 5 minutes cause I got Brute Force the same day. I also got Rise of Nations so Yager might be on the backburner for a while. Here's what I know

1. There are 3 views. 1st person, 3rd person, and ****pit. you can switch anytime

2. There are 2 fly modes. Hover mode you cant roll. Jet mode you can.

That's all I know at this point.

I know, that was funny. How can you talk about a flight sim without saying cocpit? Anyway, I dont think it's supposed to be sold in the US yet. Sorry I have no review yet. Maybe I'll tear myself away from BF RON (dont take that the wrong way) and test out the first mission.

It was released over here first, because it was developed by a German Team I suppose and it's about time we has something first at last and not wait like months for a UK release date

Anyway the game is pretty cool, lush graphic, sound and some cool missons the only thing that would probably get on your nevres is Tide and his stupid comments :)
