I wouldn't say which one is better right now. We don't know anything about either. All I can say is that the technology will be so advanced that they'll be playing games that would look like the Final Fantasy movie. :cheers:

I dunno bout ps3 and xb3, but im concerned on ps3 and xb2. They pretty much already developed some new ish for the ps3 that makes it 1000 times faster than the ps2. Dunno where I read it. It's called "cells" or somethin. Its like a new type of ram or something (correct me if i'm wrong cuz i'm half asleep right now). I'm sure if anybody can do it, Microsoft will make it 10x's better than sony.

Yes 'cell' technology, as Koopa previously posted. I heard it was a rumor, then confirmed, then rumored, and confirmed again. Sounds kinda like Valve regarding HL2 for Xbox, t'me. :D

This is like comparing PSOne to Xbox. Different Systems. Different Technology. Five years apart. Same will be true for PS3 and Xbox 3.... and to top it all off, WHO CARES! Each system will have its own strenghts and weeknesses, and each will have differend exclusive games. There sales will probably be about the same for this reason, assuming they release at the same time... PS3 and Xbox 2 that is.

ok lemme just get serious for a second...this whole cell thing just sounds like a crock of **** to me...i mean...drawing power from other devices and putting it into the playstation? i mean, it works for that SETI at home thing, where ur comps processing power goes to help them look for alien life or whatnot...but for a gaming platform? How could developers know how much power will be available at one time? What if billy is trying to run half life 2-ish graphics on a ps3, but little bobby is playing on the xbpx 2,his mom is using the computer....will hl2 look like ****? and even if it looks good, devs wil lnever be able to optomize for the console, cuz theyll never know how much power itll have at one time.....thats not even including the fact that most ps3 owners probably WONT have a broadband network to get this crazy cell stuff to work. its all a pile of bull**** that sony marketing cooked up, just like the "AMAZING EMOTION ENGINE" of ps2. "its SO SMART, it will have REAL EMOTIONS. your PS2 will feel SAD if you buy a dreamcast!" waitll they stop throwing around buzzwords and show some real products.

Actually, I don't remember where I read this as I don't care too much about the sony console scene (aside from the PSP) but apparently the Cell technology won't be ready in time so they are having to drop the idea of using that chip.

yeah i think i heard that too..but to tell the truth i doubted that this technology would be anywhere near practical from the start, when they first announced it.
