Well if your like me you love almost all RPG's, and this is a must have since you beat the first one already. But if your not one of the ppl that played the first one go get it at EB cheap its a great game. This one will be great too.

The background textures look a bit bland, especially that grass when it is up close. And it looks like a few areas of the game might be a little overly-darkened... but aside from that it looks slick. Lets just hope it will step up the baulder's gate style gameplay a few notches.

I am going to buy this game when it comes out. But if you can't transfer your game from the first Baldur's Gate, I will be P.O.

I really don't care if you can transfer them from normal BGDA since I rented it and beat it. Hopefully it will have more than 20 hours of gameplay, well, hopefully even more than that. Yes... I'm a very sad guy.

Anyway, back to the topic..

This one runs on the D&D module like the other Baldur's Gate games, right?

Sure....If you want them too  Actually I have no idea. But like you said, back on topic.... This game looks freakin' cool. I had the first BG:DA for PS2 (I just couldn't wait for the xbox version). It was one of my favorite games. I have always been intreaged by hack and slash games on PC such as diablo, but always hated them because of the click-all-over-the-screen style of gameplay. The 1st time i played a game like this for a console was Record of Lodoss War... and that game was amazing except for the fact that its save game would constantly get corrupt on my VMU. BG:Da was the answer to my prayers, as it was the next good hack and slash console game. It was very apparent there would be a sequal, as suggested by the end movie.

Now after that long and pointless blurb, my thoughts on this game. The grafix look better, but not by much. They dont really need to be tho, coz they were great in the 1st game (i love the water). Gameplay i hope stays simple hack-n-slash w/o a huge storyline. Maybe some RPG elements where you could choose your own path would be nice...cant remeber if you could do stuff like that in the 1st. The ability to create and upgrade weaponns would be a great feature, as would be being able to trade with regular city people, instead of just the craftsman. Also add alot more magic...as there wasnt enough to really use it to its fullest in the 1st game.

Am I still talking? What? Why? Duuuuuuh............... :p

I'm looking forward to this one. I don't know if you'll be able to transfer characters forward or not, but I'll be playing the necromancer (unless he turns out to completely suck), so it doesn't matter to me.
