The sequel's hero is Seimei Abe, a legendary fortune-teller from Japan's Heian period. In From's interpretation of the myth, he may be expected to tell fewer fortunes and engage in a little more random destruction than in more traditional stories. His weapons are a pair of fans, an unusual shift from the powerful sword wielded by Otogi's original hero.
