Microsoft Annunces the next batch of Platinum Hit games

Microsoft's next batch of Platinum Hit games will all be available in stores on August 17th.

Unreal Championship is a fun and addicting game, whether you own live or not, so get it anyone who doesn't have it, because you will love it.
DOA 3 is the best fighting game on xbox so far, and is easily worth $20.
NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 is best on ps2, but is definitely worth $19.99 on xbox, so if you like racers get it now.
007 Nightfire, to me is a great multiplayer, and single player game, and if you like bond, or any of the movies, then you will like this game for just $20.
THPS4-If you don't have number three, then this is a must buy for $20, but if you have three, it's not really worth unless you really like Tony hawk and skateboarding.
Blinx is okay, but the other platinum hits are better.
Hitman 2 is an awesome shooting game, and I will get it myself for just $20, since I have wanted it for a while.
Pac Man World 2 is for you if you like pacman games of any kind.
Medal Of honor: Frontline is the best war game on ps2 in my opinion, and easily the best $19.99 dollar game for xbox. MOH: Frontline is an awesome war game, plus it has multiplayer, and with full sound, it is just awesome. If you like war games, then this is a must buy.
Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The rings is an okay game, but the two towers, and return of the king are much, much better.
I think that is it, and out of all those, I might get MOH: Frontline, Hitman 2, and NFS: Hot Pursuit 2.

Awesome, I was waiting out on THPS4, Nightfire, and Hitman because it was obvious there would be a price drop. Definitly getting them!

Cool beans! I have been wanting to buy Nightfire, I just wasn't sure about it, especially for 50 bucks. I have owned Hitman2, I traded it in on something, hmm *scratches head*. I'll probably pick that one up again aswell. Thanks for the information.

Although I'm glad a lot of those games are becoming greatest hits, why has Microsoft still decided not to make Halo a greatest hit? I know it just 3 mil. worldwide but it's been out almost a year and a half.

Because they need to make up the small amount they lose on each console. They remake quite a bit of that by charging $50 for Halo, a game that almost everyone with an Xbox owns. I am glad it is still $50, it's worth it. Maybe it'll be a Platinum Hit when Halo 2 comes out.

Yeah Knight...Hitman 2 is pretty good...if you like the steath action...and even if you dont..you can still just run out and shot the hell outta everyone lol. Yeah but its also a fun game to play..their bodies fly all over the place when you shot them ...and you can drag them around and stuff. Sometimes they fold up into a pretzel lol....its good stuff.:)

Anyways, Halo should be a platinum hit. I enjoyed Hitman 2 on PS2 when I had it, so Ill be getting it for sure, and though I dislike carrer mode on THPS4, I'll get it for $20. Come on Best Buy 2/$30!

[edit] I've also seen WWF Raw in a Platinum Hits case at Best Buy. didnt know that it was announced to be one.

I haven't been around much lately. I've been unemployed since December, so my purchasing of Xbox titles has been .... well, zero. I'm also a Beta tester with Americas Army for the PC, so I've kind of had my hands full.

Put it like this: At least you don't have stickers on it they say how much you bought it for from a video rental store. I'd rather have Platinum Hits on my case than a 'dayum' sticker.

Thank god for platinum hits! I'll definately pick up Hitman 2 and Nightfire for $20 a piece. I kept holding off on Nightfire and my patience finally pays off!
