soul calibur demo!?!??!

WOOHOO!

eh the KOTOR review seems a few tenths-of-a-point off, and the PotC review seems a few full points off... a 7 is pretty generous from what i've heard about that game.

you havent played it yet? its been at walmart and babbages my my house for like the past 2 weeks at least

If you can't wait to get Halo 2 and you have TechTV, as few people do, you can see the whole demo on Saturday. They are also going to show the Ninja Gaiden trailer tonight at 11:30 p.m. So if you are like me and can't get the mag til' late next week, you can watch the demos tonight at 11:30 pm and Saturday at 12 noon. And just so you know, i don't work for TechTV.

i dunno, and about the secret, the person over at FXB said he thinks it's the Halo 2 video, but I dunno. I just can't wait to play SC 2!:D

I got it and im impressed, something I havnt been with OXM in a long time. Every demo is a game I wanted to play, and they are all great. The features rock....Halo 2 is amazing as well as the Games of 2003-4, that was cool. The downloadable content is also awesome. OXM did it right this time!!!!!

Its the demo. I've played it like 3 times at 3 different GameStops..its sweet.

BTW Maximus, I can't wait to watch it on my 65"in., yes you heard me right, 65"in HDTV.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS A SC 2 demo is what I've been waiting for. I'm just glad they didnt be lame again and put in theit october issue or something AFTER the game came out. Can't wait to get it. BTW, what is the current release date for SCII?

I'll pass. The only good thing going for this disc is the Soul Calibur II demo (I'll have the game by then), the previews of the up-coming games this year (I've practicaly seen all of the previews on web sites when E3 was on), and the downloadable content for Splinter Cell (Only good for the people who don't have XBL).

So yeah, I'll pass.

So is the big news just a Halo 2 trailer? Is it the same trailer as we have already seen hundreds of times or something new?

Oh and I'll be sure to watch it again on my 110" HDTV. :wink: :D

If you are looking for content, XBN is definitely better (but doesn't come out every month). If you are looking for a bit less content with fanboy'ish articles than OXM is for you. However, the OXM demo disc adds a lot of value to the mag.

So what your saying the reviews in OXM are kinda biased? Is there demo disks really worth the extra money even with the biased reviews?

Well the reviews aren't really biased. Its the manner in which the articles are written that is fanboyish. Check them out at a mag store quickly and you'll see what I mean. And since you are a member of the boards here, I would say that the demo discs make OXM the better choice. You'll usually already know about 85% of the magazines (XBN and OXM) content a month or two b4 you get the mag just by visiting the general discussion forum.

I looked everywhere for it today and all I could find was August issue. I almost got it but I really want the sept for the Halo Trailor and SOul Caliber II demo.

I'd say get OXM, the demo disk makes it worth more than XBN, plus XBN does some free subscription offers every once in a while, so you could get it for free, they've already done at least two, and I'm getting it now (free)
