Halo 2

Half Life 2

Doom III

id Software's terrifying battle with the forces of Hell. A massive demonic invasion has overwhelmed the UAC's Mars Research Facility leaving only chaos and horror in its wake. DOOM III has not yet received an age rating.

Full Spectrum Warrior

Full Spectrum Warrior is based on a light infantry-training simulator designed by Pandemic Studios for the U.S. Army as a tool to reinforce Army doctrine and squad tactics amongst troops. Full Spectrum Warrior is a squad-based, tactical-action game that delivers the experience of squad level command in the heat of battle. The product was developed with expertise from University of Southern California's Institute for Creative Technologies, which worked with Pandemic to bring state-of-the-art technology to the game. Designed to simulate today's challenges of urban combat missions, Full Spectrum Warrior delivers a level of realism and accuracy that has never been seen in a military-based game.

Rainbow Six 3

Rainbow Six 3 is a whole new game for Xbox, based on the universe Ubi Soft brought to gamers with Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six. The title - the first Rainbow Six game for a next-gen console - will release in time for the exciting Christmas 2003 market exclusively on Xbox.

Xbox is the lead development platform for the game, which has been designed to take full advantage of the advanced capabilities of the system. Rainbow Six 3 will feature dynamic lighting and soft body physics as well as support for 5.1 Dolby surround sound. The game will also utilize key online elements for both multiplayer action and downloadable content offered by Xbox Live, the first comprehensive, online game service fully dedicated to fast-action broadband gaming experiences. For the most intense immersion, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 will feature a brand new voice recognition system via the Xbox Live Communicator headset, allowing gamers to directly and in a very intuitive way give orders to their teammates during intense offline firefights.

Counterstrike

ETA: Holiday 2003

"Counter-Strike," the world's most popular online action game and first-person shooter for the PC, makes its console debut exclusively on Xbox and Xbox Live. "Counter-Strike" features single-player missions taking place over a gritty realistic counterterrorist world, and allows gamers to challenge other players in team-based multiplayer games on Xbox Live and System Link. "Counter-Strike" on Xbox will be the most graphically advanced version of the series to date, showcasing the technical prowess of Xbox, including immersive, intense multiplayer action on Xbox Live. In addition, players will benefit by strategizing and communicating with their teammates via the Xbox Live Communicator headset.

Dead Mans Hand

In Dead Man's Hand, players will step into the boots of El Tejón, a master gunslinger riding with one of the roughest gangs in the West, known as The Nine. When the ruthless leader of The Nine betrays El Tejón, El Tejón turns to a life of vengeance, vowing to put every member of his former gang six-feet under.

Unreal II

ETA: Holiday 2003

The Xbox version is in development by Tantalus and Legend Entertainment (an Atari studio) in concert with Epic Games. The game is being modified and tweaked to create better than ever performance and controls specifically designed for the Xbox.

In the game, players jump into the scarred combat boots of a grizzled lawman of the future to battle a torrent of bizarre alien creatures and hard-hitting enemy soldiers. The mission: win a brutal galactic race to collect powerful artifacts and stop a malevolent plot to awaken an ancient power. The player will be dispatched to unique worlds with exotic new settings that range from stunningly realistic outdoor terrain to spine-chilling alien cities, archaeological dig sites and more.

Shadow Ops: Red Mercury

ETA: June 2004

Set in the near future, Shadow Ops: Red Mercury is a gritty, real-world first-person shooter (FPS) in which the player fills the combat boots of an elite Delta Force operative. When a female Russian double-agent discovers information on "Red Mercury" - a secret substance that can be used as a nuclear accelerant - the player is hand-picked by the National Security Agency (NSA) to pursue the Red Mercury before it is used to build backpack nuclear devices and sold to terrorist organizations.

Using the latest Unreal® Technology from Epic Games, developer Zombie Games is creating an ultra-realistic game world spanning Middle Eastern cities and towns to the secret military bases in the frozen backcountry of Russia to other global hotspots in the Philippines, Bosnia and Western Europe.

Black9

In 2080, nine powerful cartels known as Illuminati are engaged in a struggle for the control of mankind. Motivated by their own special interests, these manipulative Illuminati head towards a perilous endgame, and players find themselves in the role of a mercenary walking the gray line of right and wrong. Black9 is a Machiavellian world full of greediness and betrayal, and players will need to be resourceful in order to stay true to their own code.

Black9 is being developed on the acclaimed Unreal Warfare engine with support of MathEngine's Karma physics. Set in a third-person perspective, players are equipped with hi-tech gadgetry, weapons, and cybernetics, and can acquire specific abilities through their game play experience. Broadband multi-player support and cooperative play is also planned across all platforms.

XIII

SWAT: Global Strike Team

The SWAT: Global Strike Team was founded in 2018 as an international offshoot of the U.S. SWAT organization. Primarily established to supplement the income of the U.S. SWAT establishment, the Global Strike Team contract their personnel and expertise to companies and countries around the world to help "resolve" situations for those who have the funds but not the means to do so. The GST is made up of specially selected SWAT officers and ex-military personnel who have shown the ability to adapt to and overcome any situation they encounter. Like the U.S. SWAT organization, SWAT: GST is a life-saving institution whose mission is to uphold the laws of its operating country, so all efforts must be made to use only necessary force.

Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun

Pack your gear, head to the Pacific, and fight Japanese imperialism in Medal of HonorTM Rising Sun. In this installment of the top-selling Medal of Honor series, Marine Corporal Joseph Griffin must endure some of the fiercest battles fought during WWII; crucial assignments ranging from surviving the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor, destroying the Bridge over the River Kwai, a midnight raid on Guadalcanal, and triumphing in the final showdown with Colonel Shima.

Players will take on five multi-part missions spanning ten massive open environment levels, all of which add up to one complete storyline. The experience begins with the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 aboard the U.S.S. California where players will fight off Japanese attacks and witness the destruction of the American fleet. Players will travel to Guadalcanal to destroy fortified Japanese gun emplacements and lead the assault on Henderson Field.

I'll still bet money that Halo2 will be the end all game. It'll probably force us to develope somekind of way to classify games within the FPS genre. That way other games will still have a chance.

what does TBC means???

anyway, i cant wait for these games. the games that i want badly are Halo 2, half-life 2, doom 3, SWAT, Rainbow six, full spectrum warrior, and counterstrike.


im not really sure about the other fps games on the list, im gonna keep an close watch on those games, except XII. i cant stand cell shaded games.

I want most of those games, but I dont know how will be able to delegate playing time for each, and afford the $$$. Damn you video games :cuss:
