I picked this game up yesterday and played it online last night. I played the team match. How in the hell do you tell the difference between your team and your opponents. I need some tips on what in the hell I'm supposed to do besides protect our teams base. Any help is appreciated.:)

If the server is set-up with Reticule (most are), then when you place your reticule over a team member it should tell you his name and change color. If the person is not on your team the reticule won't change color and won't show you the person's name.

Some people swear the uniforms have "color". "Just look at your team and dont shoot at that color.". I think this statement is pure BS, I couldnt tell you if the uniforms have color or not. I'd say learn how to use your map and know where your teamates are. because if you are suprised by someone as you turn the corner do you really have time to look at their uniforms color to decide whether or not to shoot? I dont think so!
Just make sure to learn how to use your map and use it well. Being able to see enemies on the map and going to find them. Dont get too dependent on the map( like me) because then you are always looking at you map and then half of the times you die will be because you're checking you map instead of getting an easy kill right in front of your face.
From what I hear, the uniforms are different for the different teams. Although w/ my eyesight, it's amazing I shoot anybody.
Lately I've found that most servers are using names. Which means anyone on your team will have their GT over their heads. Rude already explained reticule. In any case, you should regularly check your map and know the position of all your teammates. It helps w/ confusion and also allows you to give better info to your teammates.

Reticle is cool and its helps when you first start on the game but it can be a problem as well. Like sometimes an enemy can be right in front of you but have one of your teamates gamertags above their head. YOur teammate could be on the other side of the building but that may not comprehend right away. There are advantages and disadvantages to reticule.

Different team colors wear different uniforms. They are easy to tell apart. There is the Green/Camo Ghosts uniform, a Blue/Grey Urban Ghosts Uniform, Rebel Uniform, and the last one I think is the United Nations Uniform.

Each of the different teams has a color...gold, blue, green, red. Each team has a different style of uniform...so they may not be really a different color, most are shades of green, brown, etc., but they're easy to tell apart...
Right as you spawn, look to see what your teammates look like. Don't shoot people who look like that. :)

hmm...i usually play with the names on so you can see names all over the map. and also i usually dont think the "shoot at guys who shoot you" is very good advice because in this game, if your up against a half decent player, once he fires, you are dead. just try and figure out where your team mates are going. it isnt like unreal where people are everywhere. if you know the maps well, and the spawns, you can figurre out where they are easier.
