I agree w/ the distribution aspect. I understand PC games being turned into console games, and that taking some time, but as far as Vice City? I couldn't care less. It's old news.

True Crime is just around the corner. So, mark me down for a big, fat "No".

it makes no sense to do an old ps2 port on the x box. most people who want the game alredy bought it for the ps2 and most x box owners have a ps2 so chances are they already have the game. i could understand devs doing this type of thing when the x box had no userbase but now that there are 9-10 million we shouldnt get all these old ports. and the sad thing is devs base the low sales of their ports as there not being an audiance for the game on the x box. take medal gear solid substance for example there probaly wont be another medal gear game on the x box because substance sold so badly. rock star knows they made a mistake makeing gta ecluesive to the ps2 now they ant to make it for the x box. but instead of telling sony to kiss their a** they take the gta name off of vice city. if they dont want us to have gta ecluesive they should give us max payne.

nope, got it for pc, which is much better imo because you can get mods and stuff. I've played it too much on ps2, so I want something different, and that's why I like the mods.

I wouldn't buy it for $50, not unless they made big upgrades (e.g., Live), but I'd pick it up for $30 or so.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...True Crimes...

GTA is old and at this point, won't compete with True Crimes unless they seriously upgrade some things for the XBox.

Considering I don't own a Ps2 and thus don't already have the game, I will probably check it out as a rental. Peace.

why would I buy a game that i got tired of months ago? Its a joke they are even putting it out. Seeing how long its been out on the market already. Most everybody who wanted to play it have already played it. Why should they waste their money on the same game again?

Because there ARE some people , like myself, who have NOT played it yet. Because we DON'T have ps2's. Jeez.

So. Who said anything about playing it ON a ps2? get a computer. oh wait. I guess you already have one since your posting somewhat comical tidbits of information.

a lot of people including myself own a console for the sole fact that we don't play PC games....

I don't have a high tech computer and don't like the whole hassle, so I don't play games on my pc.

I might get it because my PS2 is being a **** by loading it slowly and saying it won't recognize it from time to time. But to get me to rush out and get it they need to add a car editor or something.

I'm not one for pc gaming. Most pc games are keyboard/mouse combo when it comes to controls and I dont like that. Plus even the gamepads available have to be configured , and im too lazy. Not to mention the fact that you constantly have to download and install patches to fix probs that should have been addressed when the game was first coded.

the ONLY way I would buy this is if GTA3 came with it, as most people already know I hate Vice City more than any game ever made, yet for some reason I like GTA3, probably because I consider Vice City a huge letdown, since it seemed exactly like GTA3. I like GTA3 since it came first, then Vice City was just too easy of a game to spend $1 on. GTA3 was original, innovative, it had it all IMO, and Vice City lacked it all. I would buy it ONLY if GTA3 came with it. I also wouldnt spend $50 on it, prolly $25-35.

I imagine it will be more of a budget title around 30 dollars, because it is so old, hell you can grab it on the pc for that much now at the walmart. If it is, I will probally get it, sort of a hatred towards ps2'ers. I agree though, that tru crime will likely be better, unless activision screws up, but I havent really seen any flops from them, even SOF2 was somewhat of a sucess.

Well, i think they will make a GTA 3 Complete Edition Box, including two games and the strategy guides. The price: around 40 USD. :p

It should be sold for $19.99. It is isn't worth 50. It would be a big mistake for the Xbox to port this one. Let's focus on the new stuff, shall we?

no, i wouldnt buy it.
I had GTA3 PC version and rarely played it. Just shot ppl to get the cops to come after me... i love racing games.

Vice city has been sitting on ma PC for like three months now and have only played it like five times; all i did was to get the cops after me.

no, i will never get it for ma xbox... maybe for $10 i might. i WILL NEVER pay more.

I play GTA basically as a racing game..seriously and i have a lotta racing games for ma xbox; Burnout 2, mid night club 2, MM3, Need 4 speed HP2, World racing, Project Gotham Racing GP2 etc.

Vice City WIll never sell on the xbox. Trust me on this.

GTA3 was all cool but Vice City is nothing new.

Probobly not, because I have it for ps2. I might rent it, but not for sure.

Actually there is new Grand Theft Auto game comes out. The name is Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, you play in L.A. it comes out in 2005. But who needs it? when we have True Crime Street Of L.A.?

Only at $20 bucks. For an old game that rocks, that's a fair price IMO.

That's odd. I thought Sin City was Las Vegas. Rockstar must have their cities mixed.

Yep, looks like GTA 3 and Vice City will come in a pack.

Price sounds iffy to me though.

Yes, it's true: both Vice City and predecessor GTA3 will be released on Xbox in just two months' time

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is Xbox-bound, we can finally confirm. Speculation began in July that the massively successful PS2 game would be heading to Microsoft's console, despite it apparently being a PlayStation exclusive.

Both Vice City and its predecessor GTA3 will be released as a double pack on Xbox, with a US release date of 4 November. The double pack will also see a PS2 release on 22 October in the States
