Problem Connecting to Live...

Somebody Help... For some reason when I try to connect to live it wont authenticate..It repeatedly says Failed to connect press A for troubleshooter or B to cancel. When I go into the troubleshooter it says something about DNS Servers fail to something and when I hit help it says make sure if you're running through a router to have DNS Servers on auto and they already are... I dunno what to do. Ive already checked to see if the wires were secure and they are.

I think that XBL is down for upgrades...I've also noticed that xbox.com is hit or miss today.

so is LIVE up and running again yet?,i'am hooking up LIVE tonight for the first time after work so i hope it's not down then.
