I got it today also. Ive played about 5 games. I like how you can turn on a dime, this gives me total control. Ive been beating games with just the run plays. Bettis gets 5 yards everytime on all-pro level. The presentation is the best ever & the commentary is f*cking scary real. This game is the #1 football game out. Ive got NFL Fever 2004 and I did'nt even trade it in for ESPN. I got 2 football games this year. The Read & Lead passing in Fever is just awesome and I want more of that.

This is the way I would rate the games this year:

#1. ESPN 2004
#2. Fever 2004
#3. Madden 2004

The freakin graphics shocked me when I first seen them. It's so far ahead of it's time. It makes Madden look like a psONE game. I'm serious! Just wait man. Your in for a real surprise. Perfect in every way. I thought fever looked good. It makes Fever look like a psONE game as well. It's freaky real. My girlfriend couldn't believe it either. The sound, gameplay, and everything is way ahead of it's time. I didn't think Xbox could handle graphics like this. A true thing of beauty. And by the way, the overall presentation throughout isn't much different than watching a live broadcast, complete with halftime stats and highlights. I'm still freaked out by it. I thought last years was good. It doesn't hold a candle to this bad boy. A masterpiece in technology and it shows us just how far we've gone to make a videogame BETTER looking than an actual NFL broadcast.

Awsome. Can't wait to get it. Madden took a huge step backwards this year. I'm glad I was wrong about ESPN. Thanks for getting back to me.;)

I love this game theres just something id like to point out. It used to be impossible to get away ffrom the defenders, now it impossible to catch the people with the ball. I mean when they get a break on u , u might as well put ur controller down lol. Otherwise I love this game.

Wait a minute! What about read and lead? I rented it and the game was not all that impressive. I would rate the football games like this:

DEPTH: Madden, ESPN, Fever

GRAPHICS: Fever, ESPN, Madden

GAMEPLAY: Fever, Madden, ESPN

PRESENTATION: ESPN, Madden, Fever

I give Fever, and Madden credit for being able to do the custom soundtracks. Fever is the must play game of the year. It is new and fresh. Those other two are same old fooball games.:argue1:

Dat is so true. I fumbled with Jeff Garcia and some fat slop picked it up and out ran my whole squad for over 50 yards!:eek:
There aint no way in hell dat would happen in real life.
And yeah, once a RB breaks a tackle it's all over.
You aint catchin dat fool. Even da sorriest RB's are fast as a muva.

My only other complaint in da playbooks. Why fix something dat aint broken?
It's too much like Madden.
I guess I gotta get more into da joint.
I just know my Niners aint got no f'n offensive line whatsoever.

This has to be one of my favourite sports games of all time. It is amazing for every aspect, although I'm yet to play on Live, so I'm probably going to like it even more after that. Definately sports game of the year worthy. FP view is soo much fun. I'm yet to get good with the passing part of it, but when your on defense, or running the ball, it's soo much fun. You get into the game alot more. If you don't have this game, get it!:D

I agree with the play book. I can barely see where im going. And when im online id like it the way it was. But the playbook right now is good for offline. But I would have liked the option to swtich between the playbooks of the past and present.:(

Yes. Yes there is. Plenty of stuff to do in franchise and I don't even get into the franchise option of any sports game. In the beginning it tells you about the game if you click ABOUT THE GAME.

People listen. Again I tell you that if you fumble or get picked off, hit the b button and continously tap the turbo(a) button. Simply filling your meter won't catch them. It took 4 games for me to figure that out. And they even included a built in manual. Cool heh

I just bought this game last night, and i only played one game and this game is tight as hell. First of all the presentation is the best i have ever seen. My wife thought an nfl on espn game was on last night(it was tuesday). This game took me back to da good ol' days when i first saw nfl2k and that made me purchase a dreamcast. This game is so polished. The animations are fluid, the models are unbelievable. How about when the players on the sidelines wave at the cameras and say "hi mom". I dont want to bash EA because they held me over the past two years with their games but this is the best to date. Even as good as NCAA 2004. I live by Joe Robbie Stadium(Pro Player) and thats exactly how it is supposed to look inside the staduim. As far as gameplay, i just have to get accustomed to playin a sega game again, because im so used to EA controller configuration. Im not too fond to the tappin the a button to sprint im used to the sprint button where you hold the a button down. But overall this game is the best, i cant wait to master it. If they use this engine for their college football game they could corner the market. Also i saw that their hockey game is gettin great reviews, and if their b-ball game is just as good as football and hockey, then EA will have work to do. And we know that competition is good for us consumers. I have live, but im not ready to play online yet. But you guys see my name tag, hit me up.

After playing ESPN, I no longer like fever. The graphics in fever are no comparison to ESPN. ESPN is just so much better than ANY of the other football games. Seriously, I thought fever was great until I picked up ESPN. I took Fever back along with Madden. I don't need 2 or 3 football games if I have the VERY BEST game in ESPN. I tried playing fever and madden after 3 games of ESPN. It was like playing madden 98. I can't and won't go back to those games after ESPN. I just can't do it.

I know exactly how you feel, now have you played this game online yet?? I played this game online for the first time last night, and it was a blast, NO LAG AT ALL. And the dude i was playin was in Illinois. I had this game on the DC and you know how the delay was? there was absolutely zero. For those who have live, you owe it to yourself to get this game. I will be renewin my subscription because of this game.

WOW. No lag from Florida to Illinois. I live close to Illinois. We'll have to play sometime. Yes , the Dreamcast console. My favorite moment on the system was standing in line at 5:30 am and bringing home NFL 2k. I was shocked at that football game. My girl was too. I called her at work to tell her how good this game was and she said ok, i'll see. She got home and I popped the game in for her and all she did was have a big smile on her face. We played the whole night online and off. This new xbox edition gave me that same feeling. I told myself back then how can they possibly improve on a perfect f-ball game. That was then and I know how they can years later. I'm having roadrunner probs right now but when I'm back up, let's play:cheers:

How do you like Road Runner?? I cant believe the speeds im getting with it, 2.5 mbps and 350K upload speed. Maybe it was just me, but the cat 5 cable they supplied me sucked a big one. I bought one from walmart and it multiplied my speed by A LOT. :cheers: I was getting 500K download until i bought a new cat5 cable.

I too am no longer a fan. Madden still hasn't put out those replacement disks. They jerked us out of the online component and the game is not that good. ESPN has kept me up late recently. I am addicted to first person.

Well, as i said before, this is tight as hell. The games i have played so far was very impressive, im now playin on all pro level, to bring a lil reality to my stats now. This game is very tight, im now gettin used to the controllers, now i have to clense my system of the madden button layout, and get accustomed to espns's. For those who want to play me, hit me up, you see my gamers tag to the left. Im not good yet, but im far from sorry. Ill get better soon, if you want to beat up on me now here's your chance, because, after this weekend, im kickin a$$ and takin names.

I've been having probs with them for over 2 weeks. I'm starting to hate them. When their good, their good but when their bad, their reeaall bad. My downloads are in the 450 k's a sec
