Basically my 27 inch JVC has composite and S-Video hookups.

I am using the standard RF pack with the composite inputs, the image is ok, but not spectacular like the screenshots posted on many fine sites such as this.

I am debating going to buy the Ultra AV pack by Madcatz tonight after work.

Will hooking up my Xbox with S-Video give me a great image improvement, or is it negligble.

Another reason I want the Ultra AV is to hookup my 5.1 system, I plan to blast the crap out of my neighbours with my surround sound and Sub.

We are having a Multiplayer Halo party this weekend.

Dude, definatley get the Advanced A/V Pack...it has S-Video which will make your video quality step up about 100 notches! :D

My friend ( Who usually does not know much) says it will not make a noticable difference..

I found it a little hard to swallow.

Huge difference, dude! I compared Composite video with my S-Video and the clarity and richness in the colors are completely in a different class! Huge difference.

If you have the ability to use Component video (do not confuse this with Composite video), then go with Component...the inputs will be blue, green, and red.

1. RFU (Worst)
2. Composite video (Also known as RCAs) - (Good)
3. S-Video (Much better)
4. Component Video (Best)
5. Monster 400 (Better than the best!!)
