Wow,
Based on how good the ESPN Football is. (In my opinion) Does anybody know if VC has any plans to release a College Football version.

NCAA 2k3 was releases last year and it was a freakin train wreck, absolutely horrible to say the least. Sega has no plans on releasing another college football title in the near future. This is one area that EA has well in hand with NCAA2004 and all years before. EA is the way to go for college football, no doubt.

Well, first of all the reason why ea has a head up on the college football game is because they already have the framework for most of the college football offenses and defensive schemes. They have been doin this for the longest, so most college schemes havent changed, and for VC to do this it would take a TON of research and man hours to have most of the teams playbook, mascots, stadiums, weather an so on. I played their incarnation for the DC and every team was basically playin the bears defense against me. We all know every college team doesnt play that way. Then what would they do with their version of the dynasty mode? Mind you who they are competing with, EA. You dont wanna put crap on shelves next to EA. They could use the engine of espn football and go from there, but thats still a lot of work to do, and is it still worth the money and time to put in it? Also i definately wouldnt want their effort to take away from the next version of ESPN football.

Well like I stated before, they released NCAA 2k3 and it was outrageously horrible. So I am glad they decided to stay away from the college scene and give us an even better NFL game that can keep up with Madden. I'm sorry to say this but no one, no matter how much research they put into it, can compete with EA's NCAA series. That game is rock solid perfect year in and year out. Best football game I have ever played (pro or college).

Well, if there is enough demand from us then anything is possible next year.
It looks like ESPN Football is doing well against Maddan and word of mouth is always the best advertising.
I played some EA NCAA 2004 today at a buddies house on the PS2 and all I can say is I love ESPN Football and my Xbox! That EA crap blows!
Too many things I didnt like to even list, but it was horrible compared to what I am used to with Sega's 2K4.
If Sega would do a NCAA Football game as good as 2K4 I would be all over it.

Thats the thing though, Sega did a game last year along side 2k3 and it sucked ass. I dont even want to see Sega try it again. I am still scarred from playing that piece of crap they distributed. They cant compete with EA's college game. EA as made the best football game ever when it comes to NCAA 2004. The NFL and College games are hard to compare as they are on totally different levels. BUT, NCAA 2004 as a general football game dusts everything available that calls itself a football game (PRO or COLLEGE). I love ESPN football as well, but it doesnt hold a candle to NCAA 2004.

i disagree with you there. I really think that the college football, even though it is a good game, is nowhere near as good as espn football. I have the college football game and i think it is great, but i havent touched it since i got espn. This is my opinion though. Where do you wanna start? the graphics? gameplay? Even the offseason? Presentation? The fluidity of the game? All of it favors ESPN. EA still had that pinball system where the runner clooides into the defender and buth of them fall, like a car accident. No gang tacklin. No bouncin off tacklers. EA finally gave their DBs freedom. Cheerleaders look like crap, sideline look like crap, coaches look the same, like crap. All the players have only five different looks. Besides they look like cartoon figures. And the KO punch... ESPN HAS LIVE. So if you dont feel like playin the franchise mode, you can always kick someone a$$ online, with no lags in most of the games.

Cheerleaders look like crap????? I sure hope you are referring to ESPN!! LOL! I just saw that man and had to say something...LOL! The cheerleaders are absolutely ridiculous in ESPN...For an NFL game, ESPN is your option....For college, NCAA is your best option. I like the ocllege atmosphere you get when playing the game. You dont get that atmosphere in any NFL game. I think that is my main attraction to the game.

I didnt say that then espn cheerleaders look lifelike, but they look way better than the college game, the cheerleaders have pads for hands. How ridiculous is that? Also there is no atmosphere in the pro game, we all know that there is no student body and so on in the nfl. We are grown men. As i said before i have both of them, this is my opinion, so i havent play the college game in a while, and i wonder why, huh. But the college game is the best college game i have played, but espn is the baes pro game or football game i played period.. IMO
