Help i just got Xbox live and it wont work

i just got xbox live and everything is hooked up right (i think) my xbox reads everything but it says "xbox live not found" how do i make it to where it reads EVERYTHING

Without details of your setup, not much we can do to help you.

I assume you've tried to trouble shoot it throught he software.

The only thing I can recommend is calling 1-800-4-MY-XBOX.

I have the same error, i buy it like 2 months ago and i cant use it.. it detects the ip address, nds, and all that but at the last part it sez it doesnt found the xbox live.. then in probably errors, it sez it can be due to isp or internet sharin connection or something like that,

Giving it a second thought, and it could be your isp. I had everything detected, but a non-compatible isp during the beta.

YOu need to provide more detail about you actual setup. That would narrow down the troubleshooting process.

What is you ethernet service provider? I think I remember something about how xboxlive doesn't work with aol broadband. Also, did you register it with that little code on the cd case? I understand the grief and stress you are going through. Hopefully you can make it through and join us in xboxlive paradise. Good luck my friend, and GOD SPEED.

It's Internet Service Providor and he said it's RoadRunner already, which isn't AOL Broadband, but still owned by Time Warner / AOL. Road Runner is fully compatible with XBoxLive.

2 things I will suggest and ask-

- Have you tried to reset your cable modem (unplug it for 5 seconds, plug it back in, restart your XBox and try and connect again)?

- You did enter all of your information correctly, right? Like what PeeJay said - your subscription code, valid credit card info, etc.

If you are still having problems call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and ask them for help or an explanation.

Was this the trial offer with ESPN NFL 2k4 or one of the other deals that they were coming out with or you bought the complete Starter Kit?

Yeah I have tried to stay away from Xbox live and such because it's just too risky. I have lot's of friends to play with ;)

Its not a matter of friends...

Im not about to drive 2 hours to play split screen games with casper. Instead, ill turn on XBL and play with casper and 10 others with my own screen.

And i can sit in the nude!
