Though the stealth-action genre seems to be stagnating -- many publishers are content to release "me too" titles mimicking Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell -- the developers at Access feel that there're still many original ideas that have yet to be introduced to the genre. Its game, Spy Fiction, should give the category a shot in the arm. Though it uses many stealth-action mainstays, the game has a unique feel and utilizes some interesting methods to differentiate it from the pack.

Spy Fiction lets you choose between a male and a female lead character. The pair are members of an international anti-terrorist force. Their mission is to stop a terrorist group known as Enigma. The leader of the baddies releases an enigmatic tape, revealing that he has the most potent biological weapon known to man and will unleash it upon the world. It's up to you to stop the villains and recover the weapon ... though you might want to do it at least twice since playing as each character should be a significantly different experience.
