The game is very strong visually. The character models and animations are already superb. Seeing Alex's facial animations was particularly impressive. Her movements appear as if each muscle on her face was moving. Instead of one smile, one frown, and one blank look, she has a wide range of expressions that bring her character to life. The way the lead characters move is extremely lifelike. The enemy models and levels I saw were very good, but aren't nearly as impressive as the main character models. To be fair, I only saw a limited portion of the game and the developers still have plenty of time to spruce things up.

Though it's still quite early, Breakdown is showing several unique characteristics that could potentially lead to an original experience. The developers have already made a game that looks and plays in a different fashion, whether that makes for an entertaining time remains to be seen. I'm very interested in checking out future builds of the game to see how engaging Breakdown's novel gameplay is, as well as how compelling its narrative is. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this title since it offers a new way to wreak havoc and kick ass, which is always a welcomed thing.

This game looks quite good, and I'll probably be picking it up when it's out, but the visuals do not look good at all in those screenshots.

The last screenshot is good, but it looks like a cutscene to me.
