With the notable exception of Enter the Matrix, it's been a long time since a game used live-action video in any capacity, since such footage was forever tainted by its association with the horrendous "full-motion video" games produced by CD-obsessed developers and Hollywood wannabes in the early '90s. (I will confess that the catalog of Digital Pictures, the only FMV company that consistently hired genuine Hollywood talent, is my guiltiest gaming pleasure; I would kill to see DVD-quality re-releases of Night Trap, Double Switch, Sewer Shark, and Ground Zero Texas, camp classics all.)

Seeing as Maximum Chase is already in English, there shouldn't be any changes to the gameplay during the localization process. It would be cool if Genki addressed the slowdown that occurs when an abundance of pursuing cars are onscreen, or tweaked the slightly-too-easy difficulty, but we shall see what happens in that regard. Maximum Chase ships around the end of the month, and GameSpy will most certainly chase down a qualified reviewer to tell you if it's worth your moolah.
