View Full Version : GTA 4 Date Confirmed

Today, at a technology conference in New York, Take-Two executive vice president Cindi Buckwalter filled in one blank by telling attendees that the next Grand Theft Auto will be released in the latter half of the fiscal fourth quarter 2004, several reports say. (Rockstar's fiscal fourth quarter begins on August 1 and ends on October 31.)

The article does not state whether or not the game would appear on the Xbox, but we can only hope that Sony doesn't come in with a big bag of cash to make it a PS2 exclusive.

I think it is going to be a PS2 exclusive initially and come out for the Xbox at a later date.

No, the next GTA will be next year, we won't see the next gen consoles until 2005 or 2006.:)

well, depends on how well GTA3 and vice city is sold on xbox, im sure rockstar would gor for xbox with GTA4. they should bc they can take advantage of xbox's graphics and make it look like splinter cell's. 5 bucks says GTA 4 will come out on XBOX and pos2

I hope it comes out for Xbox, but if it doesn't hopefully it will come out like GTA:Vice City did in the double pack.

Maybe, I'll be glad when RockStar ends their contract with Sony.

GTAIII and Vice City were suposed to be released for Xbox a year from now when the Sony exclusive deal ends, but they found some loop hole that allowed them to release them early. However, the next GTA is a Sony exclusive for sure. Maybe they can port it to Xbox when the deal ends at the end of next year, maybe not.

This maybe be old news, but I read it in several gaming magazines with in the last 4 months.
