M82: R6's Panzer

So.. How does everybody like that .50 cal sniper rifle in Rainbow Six?? I cant stand it.. If I enter a game and I hear or see somebody using it I get out. :cuss: There should be penalties for using it such as running slower or something. All I'm really playing for is to have fun, not stats, and it seems like using a huge sniper rifle on some of these levels would take away the fun.. The grenade launcher is realistic enough, but come on, running around with a big sniper rifle??? I'm proud to say NONE of my kills come from using the .50 cal. :D

P.S. This weapon seems to be a lot worse than the Panzer.It's about as worthless as the Mac 11 is useful :rolleyes:

What I get a kick out of is the people complaining about using it:rolleyes: It's in the game, use it. And no, it's not as cheap as a panzer. I have used it and had my ass handed to me with guys with full autos, so all it takes is skill to destroy someone with an M82.

The nade launchers are the worst...cheapest kills in the game, I'm more worried about them then I am a sniper....at least I can disable the nade sparying noobs that come in with that. It takes more skill to get a head shot

I honestly haven't come to a conclusion about these yet. I guess it all depends on how it is used. Some guys just run around squeezing off round after round with or walk into a room where you are squeezing off rounds hoping to catch your big toe so that you die.
I agree that in a game that is touted as being realistic there should be some realism to the guns in the game. I don't think anyone in the world can run around with a .50 and fire while standing up. Carrying that weapon should make your character slower and the recoil should cause you to lose your aim for several seconds.
That being said I have had about enough of people whining and screaming abuot people using the .50. Sure when I get clipped in the arm by one and drop I am cursing up a storm, but that is just because I died and it is easier blame it on the other person being cheap rather than the fact that I suck. (I don't really suck). Now it has become an excuse for people to use when they get owned ... Oh its becuase you used that cheap gun ... you suck. Well you know something ... you are the one that sucks. A couple of my boys (whose Identity shall remain anonymous to protect them ... *cough* JJAX *) use the .50 all the time ... and I own all of them.

I use the .50 cal and a ****load of my kills have come from it. I get a ****load of my kills from the remote and claymore mines as well. I have also used the G3A3, M60 and the M16. I just dont like the fact that you can have a machine gun and be 3ft from the person and go through a whole clip and not kill them.
The thing is I payed $50 for this game, so Im gonna use whatever gun I want to for it. Suck it up. I've seen people own with the .50 cal and I;ve seen people get owned who had a .50 cal. No weapon makes anyone invincible. Step your game up and get head shots.

the .50 cal is kinda cheap since its fully automatic.....

its essentially a shotgun with a sniper scope......but i dont care if people use it, its in the game(just like the panzer in RTCW or the rocket launcher in halo)

personally i use the G3A3 and have been called cheap........
