Wondering how it is. My bro has one coming in the mail. He doesn't have LIVE, so he's gonna use that headset and 2 months free to meet me online. You using one?

I survived almost a year without breaking that little clip that connects the microphone part to the headband, but I regret to inform you all that it recently fell victim to me stepping on it.

I can just buy a regular headset for a phone and it will work right?

Hey someone slap a pic and some info on this thing...Ive never seen or heard about it.

Oh and does anyone know if they are going to come out with some better voicemasks? Like maybe a master chief or darth vader....more specific masks...maybe BULLWINKLE! Thatd be awesome... They need more and better ones...The ones they have just annoy the **** out of everyone.

I remember back when I had my first xbl headset still in one peice. I was reading about people's headsets getting broken and I thought "What a bunch of idiots. They just don't know how to take care of their stuff." Well not too long after, mine broke. I was leaning forward towards my tv with the headset on then when I came back, the wire got caught on the benchpress handle of my weight set.(which is right by the tv.) The little clip snapped in part like a twig. I fixed it with a rubberband and it's not too bad, just a little uncomfortable. Now only guests use it because I got a new headset when I bought a V. 2 kit.

Mine hasn't broke yet and I have had it since day 1.The only thing that anoys me about it is when I have it on the wire tends to get caught on my knee or leg or something almost pulling the wire out the ear peace.Suprised it hasnt been pulled totaly out yet.A wireless headset would own.

What R6 headset?:watchout: I'll go buy it right now just to get it.I have heard about the Maddcatz headset but I heard it sux just like the rest of the Maddcatz crap.R6 headset ehm were...

My headset got chewed up by my friends puppy, so I bought another from a different friend for 5$ :)

I thought you had to buy R6:3 w/headset to get that. Or is it also being sold seperately?

The R6 headset as far as I know is being sold only as a limited edition pack with game to the tune of $70. I'm currently playing R6 with my LIVE headset and am very content with that. I ask for my bro who does not have LIVE and wants to play with the voice commands. Was just wondering if anybody had experienced it...

Check out Ebworld. com Evil_Icon. you do have to buy the game tho 2.

That is what I thought (game w/headset $70)... Does anybody have a link to where they are seeing that the R6 headset is sold seperately?

It looks cool, and looks like it will fit better then the original.

Not to mention mine is super glued ( I was one that thought people that broke theirs was morons. But one day I was cleaning up and it was broke. I don't even know how it broke, or if I even did it. I had a friend over using it, so it might have been him. But it broke, and I super glued it together) it might be nice to have a new one.

Well I broke mine for the second time tonight; snapped as I took it off. I hate the headset. It has an excellent mic but the headphone bites. Having to listen to 5.1 surround sound through .5 ears does not make sense. I wonder if these fools at Microsoft ever thought to do that? I've tried a few cell phone headsets, all of them are lower in mic quality and have a tendancy to yield static saturated sound. I made somewhat of a Frankenstein headset tonight though. I took one of those wire headphones from the fifties and hacked it into a reasonable replacement. Of course the only thing holding the Live headset to this wire frame is a hair rubber band... actually worked quite well to my suprise. :D

Damn that headset looks cool. How exactly do you order it. If its through the manual couldnt you just lie and say you had the game to get it. I am gonna check ebay and see if they got it on there.

You "might" be able to pull a little scam to get it for $20. Purchase the game/headset bundle from ebworld and try to take the game back to Wal-Mart or something BEFORE removing it from the shrink. Failing that you might be able to get almost your whole $50 back by selling brand new on ebay.
