Whats your weapon combo?

I'm a total RS3 noob. With less than 3 hours of online play, and only being on the 3rd mission. I have yet to find a good weapon combo. I'm using the ak47, along with the desert eagle. What do you guys use? This is the first game like this i've ever played, (where strategy is a must) So far i'm lovin it!



side note: How do you guys like the online co-op? A buddy and i are going to try it over the next few days, was wondering if its worth it. Thanks!

The co-op is worth it, if for nothing else than to get a feel for aiming and everything. Though the guns don't affect the computer guys as they affect the humans, so you should probably try to mix the matches up. Also, the combination...hell man, I'm still trying to find my favorite!:confused:

well, im loving the .50 cal gun but unfortunately not alot of ppl want others to use it. so i guess im gonna have to go with the G3A3 and the desert eagle combo. along with some grenades and flashbangs. always use a mask.

For me, it really depends on the map. The SPAS auto shotgun can be VERY effective if you're with a small group armed with AR's (and you want to steal kills from them :D) It just really depends on the level but one thing remains constant, i NEVER use pistols. I think my favorite thing to do is detect a pattern with the other team and exploit it. This might mean using different guns for different circumstances.

I use the M4. AM Shotgun most of the time for my primary. Then I'll choose the grenede launcher, explosive ones. And sometimes, I'll carry about remote charges.

Last night I started off using the Aug or G3A3. Was gettin smoked. Switched to the M16 after a while and my game was picking up. Not sure If just took me that long to get warmed up or if the M16 helped.

Gonna start with the M16 next time and see how it plays out.

I don't know about all that playa .... I was using it but kept it to myself ... DZ definitely popularized it ... mostly because he runs around with it half the time.

Hehe, most were kinda fluke kills. I figured poeple would be in the spot so I shot there. Some were genuine though. Last night was a bad night for me.

I have seen almost no flashbangs on this list at all...does NO ONE carry flashes 24/7? Shows how inexperienced you all are :D...trust me...i'd rather flashbang someone than frag them if i have the chance....more fun and humiliating...and also is safer if you have team kill on...

I use to carry them all the time. But when i would flash someone, they would randomly spray a rounds and id get killed in the barrage of a blind mans bullets.

It was getting old. So now i overwhelm them with frags, ah you'll see. :p

well i use flash bangs once in a while. one time i was using my .50 cal and i lobbed those flashys into a room full of enemy on the garage level and hoping that they all are blind as i stormed in and they were. 4 ppl in the room were all blind and they were running all around the room trying to find cover, then i whip out my .50 cal and eliminate them all with 3 shots and tossed a grenade to this dude who was hiding 'face to the wall' in the corner without cover. it was so hilarious and i couldnt stop laughing about that for the rest of the night.

I dont know the full name but it begins with L85A1 maybe giver or take a couple letters/#'s, with my i carry a desert eagle, some gernade, and a gas mask. not many people use the gun i dont but i think its pretty good and its something other than wat everyone esle uses.

im ditching the G3a3 and going for FAMAS!!!

seriously, the famas is more accurate up at close range, which i can zoom in and aim for the head for easy kills. wiht the g3a3, its hard to kill someone at close range unless ur like 5 feet in front of them.

also, the famas has a faster fire rate than the g3a3, which means more bullets into the head in 1 burst which also means more damage. alot of ppl that played on my team started to copy me, but they suck at it tho. i guess u just have to get a feel for it. i picked the famas up for the first time when i was in a server full of a clan team named Fear. man they were ripping everybody up with the famas and the whole clan only use that gun.

LOL, for some reason I doubt anyone on here started any "G3A3" revolutions. My friends and I have p[layed ith that gun for quite some time...and maybe people pick it because IMO, the gun is broken. It does too much damage in relation to the other assault rifles.

I feel very strongly about the G36C ever since I switched from using the M16/G3A3/L8. It is a great gun for running and shooting, but of course if you try the gun out of the blue and are not used to its superiority you will think it sucks. Also, I do not condone its use for the Peaks map as well as trying to snipe from extremely far distances, then the M16 would be the best.

I like to use the MK 23 to make people feel like my :cuss: es.

famas is a better gun bc of its rate of fire. i can fire 3 bullets in 1 tap into the head with an easy kill. the g3ac fires 1-2 bullets in one tap and may only damage a little.

A faster rate of fire can be a flaw as well. You will find your self reloading or with your secondary, while your opponent still has 10 rounds in his AR.

I rarely use a 2x, but when i do, i prefer the G36C.

And a head shot is a head shot. 1 bullet is enough...

Myself, I prefer the G36C over the FAMAS. I think it's up to opinion. Then again, I prefer the PSG-1 all the others. :)

M60, 100 rounds that are as accurite as the m16 if you tap the trigger, D Egale .50 its just to cool to pass, those flame granaides you know the wp's or something like it. this combo works long as i dont have to snipe

the m60 isnt as accurate as the m16 if shot in bursts... m60 is used as a rushing gun where you hold the trigger and hope the sh*tty 47% accuracy hits him once... the m16's first two shots are perfectly accurate and if you shoot in bursts like i do with the g3a3 then only about 3 bullets go at a time so majority are accurate..... m60 goes all over the place and i should know cause ive stood right behind guys many times and burst shot at their heads and hit air

i agree with that... i like the 3.5 zoom and cant work with how fast the famas unloads.... but its easily the best gun for close range gun fights in my opinion

Actually, ive played with a m60 + all frags kit before. Just messing around...

The gun is pretty damn accurate when you fire 1 round. Most people tend to rush in with the m60, but if you play tactical you can be even more efficient. And rush and overwhelm when necessary.

But like i said, i was goofing around, but had some decent rounds.

Use the G36C. I know that the FAMAS is statisticically superior (though not by much), but the FAMAS's fire rate is just too high. 950 rounds/min makes it difficult (for me) to manage. Maybe I just need more practice with it, but I find the G36C to be the best for me. My weekly ratio is now 1.82 after 6 hours of gameplay, the highest mine has ever been for any sustained period. So if it can do this for me, imagine what it can do for you.

I increased my look speed, and decided to play a different style with a 2 zoom.

After playing extensively with the C, than switching to the Fames, i realized the Fames is a superior weapon.

A new JJaX has been born. We are now in the famas era....

Ok I have realized that stats are crap on thee weapons. I have been doing great with the weapons so far. Rainbow six 3 weapons are really realistic (not that I've ever shot a real gun yet). Pretend that you are actually holding the gun in real life. Sight down when you need to sight down, shoot how many shots you would shoot in real life. It really works with me. I was on an xba server a while back and we were doing a ladder match (evolution). I just pretended that I was actually shooting an ak and it worked. Now I constantly use it. The guns really depend on the level and what you do. You can do anything on any level, but some levels you just do it better. And if you are not doing your thing well then try a diffrent stragety and a diffrent gun. I was on a server the other night and decided to try out a P-90. I got three of them the first time I tried it.
