i have that feeling too, but i dunno about CS bc i never played it. it should hold onto the crown until halo 2 comes out

I agree, i dont see how it could get much better. Hopefully when halo 2 comes out we wont be dissapointed after this long wait.

I played CounterStrike pretty often for about a month, then it started to suck, real bad. It just got so boring and repetetive, that coupled with cheaters realy made it suck.

The game is more like Unreal in the way that it is a fast paced twitch shooter, and those games can be alright, but not in a game that is supposed to be terrorists vs special forces, it just doesn't seem right. Then there is the part where you earn money after each round, and the weapons you use cost money. After each round, if you were killed, you lose your weapons and have to buy new ones, whereas if you lived you get money and can keep your old ones or buy new ones. So basically, those that are half way decent at the start of a round, will dominate the whole match as they will get the best of the best. It's really quite stupid.

I think its quite right to say Rainbow Six 3 is a much better game for the genre. I don't know about it being the best shooter though, we shall see. I do love Rainbow Six 3, but I am getting kinda tired of having to shoot poeple in the head to kill them, it really detracts from the sim feeling. Although it isn't as bad as some poeple make it out to be.

As for Halo 2. I bet MOST poeple will be disapointed by it. The game is being hyped WAY too much. Like I said in another thread, poeple are elevating the coming of Halo 2 to the status of a god descending from the heavens. There is just no way the game is going to satisfy that want.

I agree with that. They should have made it like Ghost Recon.

i doubt it, ur just saying that bc ur one of those ppl that didnt enjoy halo. i loved halo and i wasnt dissapointed in it and i can say that Halo 2 will live up to its hype, why? bc bungie can pull it off. Halo 2 is a mix of unreal,Gr, Rs3 and if u combine those games together, it'll make one ****ing awesome game and the bonus is the vehicles added in it which makes it even more fun. Halo 2 will prolly get game of the year next year, and im sure it will blow off half-life 2 and doom 3. we'll just have to wait and see.

im with no fear on this, i dont care if they dont do sum things in the game some people would like, hell, id be happy with the original halo game online, thatd make me happy, but bungie's gonna do a whole lot better, they got new everything, any true halo fan or fps feen would craze for, i think the chances of anyone who liked the original and they end up not liking halo 2 is pretty rare...

I stand by what I said. At first poeple, no matter what their initial reaction will most definetly say it's amazing, best game ever, simply becuase it has the name Halo on it. Then over time poeple will start to express thier disapointment in it. There will be some poeple who will say they were disapointed at first though. Ofcourse, others will be thouroughly happy with it. I do stand by what I said.

Also, No Fear, I did enjoy Halo quite a bit. It is a good game, just not as amazing as poeple are saying. I was disapointed with it as well, as the previews were saying it would be quite different.

Now that CS has been out for a while now I can say with very little speculation that you are correct. In fact, I think RS3 will be the un-rivaled leader until Halo 2 comes out--and even then it will still attract a substantial niche who like tactical shooters.

I'm in agreement with everybody about R6 being king till Halo 2. Halo 2 will definitely dominate everything when it comes out for a Looooong time, however, R6 is a completely different kind of game than Halo. I anticipate still seeing plenty of players R6 even after Halo 2. Ubi does need to add some games types still tho.

Agreed. The only other game I played nearly this much is MechAssault, but this is the first game that actually made me learn tactics and strategy.
